Do any of you have to go through and pass an hour test before you speak with a hiring manager?

Could you expound, I can no longer think straight. In the last 3 days I think I slept maybe an hour or so because I live in a nightmare.
Sorry, I just wanted to know if people have to take tests for every little interview before they speak with a hiring manager, I believe they just torturing me.
It's real hard to think without food, sleeping is even harder. I ran out of steam a few months ago, due to conservation.
That is the only thing I want to know not looking for sympathy just if everyone has to take complex algo tests just to get a conversation going.
Can a few people answer this question directly.
It's important to know.
