Lin's entire purpose at that point was to put a giant highlighter on rigged elections so that the public would get more noise in their feeds re: just that; rigged elections. @POTUS couldn't come out and fully endorse that, so he pushed constituents to hold their noses and vote. This created a separation between @POTUS and the "conspiracy theories!", all the while, his legal team knowingly filed cases that would get dismissed to further drive the point home about corrupt people in positions of power, but the fact that most of those court cases weren't filed properly, or details were incorrect, made these cases look like just a bunch of kayfabe.
