In an amazing announcement this week the Biden administration has declared they will be reopening a facility in Texas this week in order to temporarily house hundreds of migrant youths who have recently entered the country. If your head just tilted like a dog hearing a harmonica, you are not alone. All of a sudden, it appears, the concept of housing young children from other countries in a government setting is acceptable.

Yes, this sounds like a contradiction from a narrative we have been served for the past four years, but just you wait. I recommend wearing eye protection, as the flying shrapnel from euphemisms will be likely.

The location, in Carrizo Springs Texas, will be run by the Office of Refugee Resettlement is tabbed for "overflow’’ purposes, and will be able to house 700 migrant children. This is being dubbed a temporary influx care facility. That’s a handy shift in nomenclature. Also steps are being taken to avoid harsh PR assessments: The kids will stay in "hard-sided structures. Additional semi-permanent (soft-sided) capacity may be added if necessary, though ORR will always prioritize placing children in hard-sided structures over semi-permanent structures.”

As CNN describes it, this is a "facility for unaccompanied migrant children apprehended at the US-Mexico border."

"We have a responsibility to educate those that are leaving the service that they are going to be recruited by these people, and they need to be aware that they're going to have people reach out via email or social media" Adm. Mike Gilday says.

The issue of neo-Nazi, far-right and other racist hate groups working and recruiting inside the military has increasingly alarmed the Pentagon, backed by a Military Times poll last year in which one in three active-duty service members who responded reporting they have “personally witnessed examples of white nationalism or ideological-driven racism within the ranks in recent months,” an increase from the previous year’s survey.

“They’re organized, they have an organizational structure, and in some cases, they have an oath,” Gilday said. “They have mission statements. And so it’s really disturbing to have organizations of like-minded people who are moving forward on potential objectives here that are counter to the values of the US military.”

Headlines last month made clear the scope of the issue after a number of veterans identified as taking part in the Trump-inspired storming of the Capitol, raising serious concerns about the extent of support in the armed services for extremist views and organizations.

Among them were a retired Air Force officer who played a leading role in breaching the Senate floor, a Navy vet and a conspiracy-minded retired Air Force vet who was shot and killed by a Capitol Police officer while trying to break into Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s office.

https://techcrunch.com/2021/02/05/microsoft-pac-blacklists-election-objectors-and-shifts-lobbying-weight-towards-progressive-organizations/

After “pausing” political giving to any politician who voted to overturn the 2020 election, Microsoft has clarified changes to its lobbying policy, doubling down on its original intention and changing gears with an eye towards funding impactful organizations.

Assessing and consulting can take a long time, especially in matters of allocating cash in politics, but Microsoft seems to have accomplished their goal in relatively short order. In a series of sessions over the last two weeks involving over 300 employees who contribute to the PAC, the company arrived at a new strategy that reflects their priorities.

In a word, they’re blacklisting any Senator, Representative, government official, or organization that voted for or supported the attempt to overturn the election. Fortunately there doesn’t seem to be a lot of grey area here, which simplifies the process somewhat. This restriction will remain in place until the 2022 election — which, frighteningly, happens next year.

In fact, as an alternative to donating to individual candidates and politicians in the first place, the PAC will establish a new fund to “support organizations that promote public transparency, campaign finance reform, and voting rights.”

Oath Keepers were known to be providing security for Stone during his D.C. visit. Reports surfaced in January that militia members were traveling with Stone on the day before the Capitol assault, as the Trump loyalist helped set the stage for the "Stop the Steal" events that were intended to give a forum to the president's false claims that the 2020 election had been rigged.

The newly surfaced video is the first to show militia members with Stone on the day of the Capitol riots.

Whether men seen standing with Stone on Jan. 6 were participants in the mob assault on the Capitol is unclear.

Cybersecurity researcher John Scott-Railton, at the Citizen Lab at the University of Toronto's Munk School of Global Affairs & Public Policy, said he and others are trying to make that determination.

The wife of one of the men seen with Stone, Robert Minuta, confirmed to ABC News that her husband did go to the Capitol that day, but denied he went inside. He was "another patriot outside the Capitol Building … standing up for freedom," she said.

Scott-Railton has been working in concert with other researchers including a group calling itself "Capitol Terrorists Exposers" to painstakingly gather and compare images and videos found on social media of those who appeared at the Capitol.
