The call sign has nothing to do with the aircraft. Whatever aircraft belonging to the airforce that carries the President will have a callsign AF1, if the aircraft belongs and is piloted by the Marines, it will be Marine 1.

This flight did NOT have a callsign Airforce 1, AF 1. THAT IS THE STRANGE THING, NOT THE AIRCRAFT.
