I can tell you that there was no trauma care for a gunshot wound that I saw. No wound packing of the “box” if it was a chest wound. No direct pressure. No effort at spinal stabilization from the fall. No reaction from other “Officers” to address the shooter. No arterial spray if it was a neck wound. Most Officers and EVERY SWAT operator in DC carries a blow out kit for gunshot/stabbing trauma. Nothing about it appeared credible to anyone who has worked a shooting scene. There was also no attempt to preserve evidence, interview witnesses, maintain scene security (what Cop lets a “dangerous mob” surge around their gunside uncontrolled) or any other standard Police procedure.

Two last finer points.

The medic should be tried and sent to jail. He started to render aid then stopped. Violating good smaratin law. You can only stop giving aid when you are physically no longer able to do so or 2 giving the responsibility to a higher level of care. The SWAT members are neither.

2nd. The way the SWAT members are carrying her down the stairs head first instead of head last would actually be helping to drain the blood by using gravity. Hence the reason we hang cattle upside down when we are getting rid of the blood. Yet the bleeding never worsens.

I'm an old RN…something about this is wrong. Just saying with these views…something is very wrong. People are not wide eyed and terrified. I know what people look like under trauma and a terrifying situation in an ER…and they look pretty frazzled and are usually super loud and wide eyed. I question the appearance of the blood character.

Something is very odd about this…and if it is true that this woman was shot… I am so sorry for the family to have this questioned. But the most convincing issue is those "swat" boys. They do appear to be not so familiar with active shooter situations.

They should be filled with adrenaline…and I do not see this in their faces or eyes. This should be a very shocking situation for all…and this is not looking like it is that shocking to all.

As far as I know, from personal experience, every Veteran and law enforcement professional (especially "SWAT") has, at the very least, First Responder training. I would venture to say they would have recieved more more advanced EMS training. I did. And none of that training involved flashlights or wet knaps. ABCs people. No one tried to continuously apply pressure, or even find, the wound. Airway compromised? You know the drill.

Swat 1 and 2 essentially serve no purpose here. If they were trying to create space for EMS, they would be in front of the injured , not hiding behind SAM. There are only 2 people on the stairwell. Why focus on the stairwell? They seem to have no situational awareness. SWAT 1 just randomly raises his weapon in a direction where he has a physical barrier, the broken window wall. Who is he even aiming at? The thumbs up recipient? Even the least educated gun owner knows you don't raise your weapon unless you fully intend to fire it. You don't use it to gesture to your peers. In reality, the proper movements would be ingrained into your body and mind. His movements aren't tactical, they're random.
