Sounds as if you had "faith" in that for which YOU were praying,
instead of faith in God and HIS will.
Christ Jesus taught to pray this to the Father,
"THY will be done…."
God isn't a genie in a lamp,
which if one rubs they get their wishes granted,
then if that wish doesn't come true,
you blame the genie.
As for your remarks relative to the gathering,
you reveal just how little you consider God's sovereignty and power to be.
Such a disgraceful thing to say to the One who created the entire universe with merely a Word,
that mere creatures can control and prevent God from bringing His will to pass.
You are suffering from disappointed vain faith.
