>as a nurse, didn't she get the vaccine?
Was offered, but since it's such a new vaccine with little to no real studies showing long-term effects, we decided to forego. About a 50/50 split between those that did get it, and those that turned it down. Even with her actually catching it, we both feel it was still the best decision. They've been treating multiple patients that have gotten the vaccine, so if that doesn't tell you something right there, I'm not sure what does.
She did, however, get the yearly flu vaccine; something that, to this day, most of her family swears by. I've not gotten a flu vaccine in 20+ years, so it'll be interesting to see how things go if I do end up catching it. The likelihood of me not getting it is very slim, but again, I usually don't get any vaccines so we'll see how it goes.
Thanks to all anons last bread for the thoughts/prayers, and links to info. Definitely jumping on that info in order to supplement current treatments that I just got from the pharmacy.
