Änderung des Grundgesetzes

Die lange Diskussion über den im Artikel 3 (GG) stehenden Begriff "Rasse" nähert sich dem Ende. Die Bundesregierung hat sich intern geeinigt, das umstittende Wort in "rassistische Gründe" umzuändern und reagiert damit auf die Kritik; der Ausdruck "Rasse" suggeriere, dass es wirklich menschliche Rassen gebe. Die Idee für den neuen Begriff kam von der Justizministerin Christine Lambrecht. Innenminister Horst Seehofer sagte dazu, dass "die Formulierung (von Lambrecht) die beste von allen diskutierten gewesen sei". Über den Gesetzesentwurf soll am kommenden Mittwoch abgestimmt werden. Für eine Änderung des Grundgesetzes bedarf es jedoch einer 2/3 Mehrheit aus Bundestag und Bundesrat. Die große Koalition ist somit für ihr Vorhaben auf die Opposition angewiesen.
