I sometimes wonder how truly fucking bad things have to get before only 4-6% are 'unrecoverable', assuming that's what that number really means. There is nothing I've ever encountered that is more demoralising than the fact that most people don't actually seem to care about tyranny, freedom, evil, good, etc much less be able to even recognise it. They care above all else about social prestige and comfort and would happily exhange their natural born free will to have it.
I remember thinking 'surely there will be some push back now' in the years following 9/11, it was only 2 months later that the TSA appeared for example. How naive I was.
