On January 6th hundreds of Trump supporters and others stormed the US Capitol to urge Republican lawmakers and Vice President Pence to investigate the abnormalities and extensive fraud in the 2020 election.

Hundreds of Trump supporters and others caused thousands of dollars of damages. Four Trump supporters were killed including Ashli Babbit who was shot in the neck by an unnamed Capitol Hill police officer and bled out on the floor.

Black Lives Matter-Antifa mobs have caused over one billion dollars in damages in cities across America since May. In Minneapolis alone Black Lives Matter mobs damaged or destroyed over 1,500 businesses or buildings.

Over 700 police officers were injured in the BLM riots — and that was back in June!

Black Lives Matter was linked to conservatively 91% of the riots that resulted in the most expensive property damage in US insurance history.

But according to our elites in the US media, the tech giants and the Democrat party the worst terrorist attack in the past decade occurred in the US Capitol on January 6 where 4 Trump supporters were killed and one police officer lost his life.

Since the incident, the FBI has devoted millions in resources to investigate and arrest those who were seen at the US Capitol that day and earlier at the Ellipse where half a million American patriots watched President Trump’s final speech as president.

The FBI has put in hours of work identifying the suspects inside the US Capitol on January 6th. One individual, Brian McCreary, was identified by FBI agent Emily Eckert last week.

“Political Theater” – Trump’s Lawyers Demand Immediate Dismissal of Charges in Senate Impeachment Trial

President Trump’s lawyers argued the Senate should immediately dismiss the articles of impeachment in a 75-page legal brief filed Monday morning.

Trump’s lead lawyers David Schoen and Bruce Castor in a pretrial brief accused the House Democrats of suffering from “Trump Derangement Syndrome,” engaging in “political theater” and called the trial unconstitutional because Trump is no longer in office.

“This was only ever a selfish attempt by Democratic leadership in the House to prey upon the feelings of horror and confusion that fell upon all Americans across the entire political spectrum upon seeing the destruction at the Capitol on January 6 by a few hundred people,” Trump’s lawyers wrote. “Instead of acting to heal the nation, or at the very least focusing on prosecuting the lawbreakers who stormed the Capitol, the Speaker of the House and her allies have tried to callously harness the chaos of the moment for their own political gain.”

Schoen and Castor demanded the Senate dismiss the charges immediately.

“The Article of Impeachment presented by the House is unconstitutional for a variety of reasons, any of which alone would be grounds for immediate dismissal,” the lawyers wrote. “Taken together, they demonstrate conclusively that indulging House Democrats hunger for this political theater is a danger to our Republic democracy and the rights that we hold dear.”

45 Senators already voted that the impeachment is unconstitutional so the trial is DOA.

14 German care home residents test positive for UK Covid-19 strain after getting 2nd Pfizer jab

More than a dozen elderly care home residents in north-western Germany have been infected with the UK coronavirus strain around a week after receiving the second dose of the Pfizer vaccine, local authorities have said.

The first positive Covid-19 cases in the care home in the town of Belm, near Osnabrueck, were discovered on February 2 following routine daily rapid testing, the local authorities said in a statement. The care home administration then tested all the facility residents and employees to discover that a total of 14 people were infected.

Analysis of the test samples also revealed that all those infected had a strain of coronavirus first detected in the UK and considered to be much more infectious than the original. Even more worrying was the fact that all those infected received their second dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine no later than January 25.

It was unclear when or why those infected caught the disease, as all 14 cases were either totally asymptomatic or displayed only mild symptoms. Local authorities placed the entire care home, all its staff and their families under quarantine, as well as informing authorities in the neighboring areas about the situation.

Those care home employees who tested negative for Covid-19 were still only allowed to leave their homes to get to work.

It is unclear if this outbreak of the UK Covid-19 strain in Belm is a cause for concern. According to the German media, the care home residents could very well have been infected even before receiving the second dose, or within a week after getting it, at which time full immune protection would not yet have been in place.

Amid protests & ahead of upcoming election, Israeli PM Netanyahu pleads not guilty to corruption charges

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu pleaded not guilty to charges of bribery, fraud, and breach of trust on Monday. His trial resumed six weeks before the country is due to hold a parliamentary election.

During his second appearance in court since May, and just over a month before the 2021 Israeli legislative election, Netanyahu confirmed his written plea of ‘not guilty’ for charges that include passing regulatory favors for a company in exchange for positive news coverage.

Last year, Netanyahu claimed that the purpose of the corruption trial was to “depose a strong, right-wing prime minister, and thus remove the nationalist camp from the leadership of the country for many years,” though many Israelis argue that the leader is no longer fit for office.

Protesters flocked to Netanyahu's official residence on Saturday to protest the prime minister, calling for him to resign over the corruption charges and his handling of the Covid-19 pandemic. Similar rallies have been held in Israel for months now. Netanyahu has called the protesters “anarchists,” and his son Yair mocked them as “aliens” back in August.

Netanyahu is charged with fraud and breach of trust for allegedly receiving frequent gifts, including expensive champagne and cigars, from billionaire Hollywood producer Arnon Milchan and Australian billionaire James Packer — who previously had business and personal connections to the Church of Scientology. Despite accepting the gifts, Netanyahu is alleged to have "acted for the benefit of Mr. Milchan as part of his official roles" for several years.

The Israeli PM is also charged with fraud and breach of trust for a series of meetings he had with newspaper publisher Arnon Mozes, during which he allegedly spoke about interfering against Mozes' media rivals in exchange for positive news coverage; and is charged with fraud, bribery, and breach of trust for allegedly using his position to help businessman Shaul Elovitch – also in exchange for positive news coverage.

China to give away over $6mn in digital currency during Lunar New Year in massive e-yuan trials

As China gets ready to celebrate one of its biggest holidays, the Lunar New Year, authorities in Beijing and Suzhou are handing out 40 million yuan ($6.2 million) in another public lottery as part of digital currency tests.

The two cities are reportedly planning to distribute 200,000 red packets – each worth 200 yuan (nearly $31) – starting on Wednesday, February 10, the day before Chinese New Year’s Eve. Red packets, or envelopes, containing money are a form of a traditional gift in China. They have also long been used in the digital space, as Chinese tech companies made it possible to send money using red packets via apps.

Some 50,000 lucky winners will be selected in Beijing as part of the routine trials of China’s sovereign digital currency, the local government announced over the weekend. It added that the 10-million-yuan ($1.5 million) lottery is being held as the city gets ready to host the 2022 Winter Olympics. The winners will be able to spend their vouchers during the week commencing February 10 at more than 100 stores in the Wangfujing commercial area, or online via popular platform JD.com.

Meanwhile, the government in the city of Suzhou is planning to hand out 150,000 red packets, worth 30 million yuan ($4.6 million). The lottery is reportedly sponsored by JD.com, but the winners will be able to spend the money until February 26 in both online and physical shops. More than 10,000 businesses are expected to accept the digital yuan during the trial, according to the South China Morning Post.

The massive New Year lottery will be even bigger than the previous one held in the two cities. In December, some 20 million yuan were distributed in the same way in Suzhou, while Beijing had a small-scale digital yuan trial at the subway station in Beijing Daxing International Airport.

China has been ramping up pilot tests of its digital currency, officially known as the Digital Currency Electronic Payment (DCEP). According to Chinese media calculations, the trials now total around 110 million yuan ($17 million) and are expected to cover more venues and cities in 2021.

Texas Congressman Ron Wright, 67, dies after contracting COVID-19

Wright passed away peacefully with his wife, Susan, by his side Sunday night.

Congressman Ron Wright (R-Texas) died Sunday night after contracting COVID-19. He was 67.

Wright's office confirmed his death Monday morning in a statement announcing that he "passed away peacefully" with his wife, Susan, by his side. He is the first sitting member of Congress to die after contracting the coronavirus.

According to the statement, Wright and his wife, Susan, had both been admitted to Baylor Hospital in Dallas after contracting COVID-19. Wright, who was also battling cancer, announced he had tested positive for the coronavirus on Jan. 21. In a statement, Wright said he had been quarantined since Jan. 15.

"I am experiencing minor symptoms, but overall, I feel okay and will continue working for the people of the 6th District from home this week. I encourage everyone to keep following CDC guidelines and want to thank all the medical professionals on the front lines who fight this virus head-on every single day," Wright said at the time.

Rep. Wright is survived by his wife, Susan; his son Derek; his son Justin and wife Susan; his daughter Rachel and husband Jeff; his brother Gary and wife Janis; and nine grandchildren.

Several members of the Texas delegation in the House of Representatives issued statements offering their condolences to Wright's family.

"Today I am deeply saddened by the loss of a good man and one of my closest friends in Congress, Ron Wright," said Rep. Chip Roy (R-Texas). Myanmar Bans Twitter, Facebook For Promoting Protests Against Military Coup Provoked By Voter Fraud

Myanmar takes strong response after social media platforms interfere in their internal affairs.

The southeast Asian nation of Myanmar – also known as Burma – has banned popular social media platforms Facebook, Instagram and Twitter after the algorithms of the platforms promoted posts that encouraged protests against the country’s military.

Myanmar’s nationalist military arrested the liberal political leaders of the country on Monday after the politicians were accused of vote fraud in the November election. The military subsequently formed a transitional government, called the State Administrative Council, consisting of members from the military itself and from multiple political parties, which they say will be in power for one year until free and fair elections can be held.

Unfortunately, the vast NGO network connected to George Soros’ Open Society Foundations then leapt into action, fomenting mass protests across the country in favor of the deposed former State Counselor Aung San Suu Kyi, a close associate of Hillary Clinton.

This attempt at a color revolution in Myanmar was enabled by social media platforms including Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, whose algorithms eagerly promoted content that advocated unrest there. Twitter pushed the hashtag “#RespectOurVotes” in Myanmar, which appeared reminiscent of statements made by Joe Biden in the United States to disregard the Trump campaign’s legitimate challenges to the official 2020 U.S. election result.

The new government of Myanmar reacted strongly towards the big tech subversion, banning Instagram, Facebook and Twitter for their intervention in the country’s domestic politics.

Twitter then bizarrely claimed the ban was a threat to the “Open Internet”, despite Twitter’s own mass censorship of President Donald Trump and his supporters from their platform.

“We’re deeply concerned about the order to block Internet services in Myanmar. It undermines the public conversation and the rights of people to make their voices heard,” a Twitter spokesman said. “The Open Internet is increasingly under threat around the world. We will continue to advocate to end destructive government-led shutdowns.”

Facebook was somewhat more upfront about their aims, admitting their goal was to get what they considered to be “important information” – in other words, information produced by Soros groups – to the people of Myanmar.

“We strongly urge the authorities to order the unblocking of all social media services,” Facebook’s APAC Director of Public Policy said. “At this critical time, the people of Myanmar need access to important information.”

In 2018, Facebook banned General Min Aung Hlaing, the commander-in-chief of the Myanmar armed forces, claiming that they wanted “to prevent [him] from using our service to further inflame ethnic and religious tensions”. Hlaing currently serves as the chairman of Myanmar’s new transitional government.

Social media platforms are facing increased pressure around the world for their brazen interference in elections and other political processes to undermine conservative or nationalist governments. Strong responses of the kind implemented in Myanmar will likely only become more widespread as a result.

Democrats Plan To Violate Constitution, Strip Trump’s 5th Amendment Rights For Impeachment Trial

Democrats are demanding that President Trump, a witness, testify against himself. This is unconstitutional.

Impeachment Managers sent from the U.S. House of Representatives to the U.S. Senate have threatened to, and really already did, violate the Fifth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. They are asserting violations of the Constitution by President Donald Trump while themselves violating it.

On February 2, 2021, new attorneys representing President Trump filed an “Answer” to the Articles of Impeachment, but not (yet) an actual trial brief. Trump’s attorneys and others challenge the trial as unconstitutional because President Trump left office. Yet, on February 4, 2021, the Impeachment Managers asked the former President to testify in the upcoming trial.

In other words, if President Trump took the bait, he would be legitimizing an unconstitutional proceeding. Democrats believe their own propaganda about him. By showing up to testify, President Trump could destroy his legal objection to the unconstitutional trial, as Jason Miller suggested.

President Trump’s “Answer” denied the factual allegations. This is overwhelmingly typical, requiring the prosecutors to prove their case. Yet House “prosecutors” want to force President Trump to prove his innocence. Democrats are accustomed to just asserting things.

The former President’s lawyers quickly rejected the invitation, calling it a “public relations stunt.”

However, the letter from the Impeachment Managers’ leader Jamie Raskin (D-Md) threatened President Trump, “If you decline this invitation, we reserve any and all rights, including the right to establish at trial that your refusal to testify supports a strong adverse inference regarding your actions (and inaction) on January 6, 2021.”

Although reported only indirectly on Fox News, Raskin apparently said that Trump’s refusal shows his guilt after being rebuffed.

However, the Fifth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution prohibits anyone from being “compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself.” The U.S. Supreme Court has repeatedly made clear that it is a violation of the Fifth Amendment for a trial court to draw an adverse inference from a defendant’s decision not to testify. See, Carter, Estelle v. Smith, 451 U. S. 454 (1981), Mitchell v. United States, 526 U. S. 314 (1999); Carter v. Kentucky, 450 U. S. 288 (1981), at least at the guilt phase.

But this is impeachment. Yet the courts routinely treat some proceedings as “quasi-criminal.” Democrats are threatening criminal prosecution. This is a problem because the jury pool in Washington, D.C. voted 95% for Biden.

Moreover, the U.S. Supreme Court holds that the threat of drawing an adverse inference from a defendant not testifying would cripple Fifth Amendment rights. Therefore, an inference would harm constitutional rights.

Also, it is the Senate which decides what rules will apply and what factual assertions to believe. Raskin as prosecutor has no right to decide what inferences the Senate will make. Yet he clearly assumes that power.

Famous Law Professor Jonathan Turley, a Democrat before his Party swerved sharply to the Left, condemned this bullying:

“The Supreme Court has been adamant that the type of inference sought by Raskin is abhorrent and abusive in courts of law. In Griffin v. California, 380 U.S. 609 (1964), the Court reviewed a California rule of evidence which permitted adverse comment on a defendant’s failure to testify.”

And:

“The statement conflicts with one of the most precious and revered principles in American law that a refusal to testify should not be used against an accused party.”

Professor Turley also reads into this exchange that the Impeachment Managers are not prepared to prove their case, having rushed the impeachment through without witnesses.

Biden Praises Xi Jinping As ‘Bright,’ Refuses To ‘Criticize’ Lack Of Democracy

President Biden insisted he didn’t “mean it as a criticism” when describing Chinese Communist Party leader Xi Jinping as not having “democratic bone in his body.”

Speaking with CBS anchor Norah O’Donnell ahead of the Super Bowl, President Biden was pushed on his approach to China.

“He’s very bright. He’s very tough. He doesn’t have, and I don’t mean it as a criticism just a reality, he doesn’t have a democratic small “d” bone in his body,” he said in reference to Xi.

The former vice president, whose son Hunter has extensive financial involvement with Chinese Communist Party-linked businesses, also noted that he wouldn’t approach the country “the way Trump did.”

President Biden also boasted “I know [Xi] pretty well,” before recounting the dozens of hours of private meetings he’s held with Xi.

At Least 23 Shot, 3 Killed, During Weekend in Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s Chicago

At least 23 people were shot, three fatally, over the weekend in Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s (D) Chicago.

On Sunday, Breitbart News noted 14 people were shot, one fatally, Friday through Saturday alone. That one fatality occurred when shots rang out early Saturday morning at Indian Lakes Hotel in Bloomingdale, a Chicago-area community.

NBC 5 quoted Bloomingdale Public Safety Director Frank Giammarese saying, “It appears that there were a couple of different groups attending different events at the hotel…[when] something transpired and that’s when the shooting took place, mostly in the hallways at the hotel.”

By Monday morning, ABC 7 / Chicago Sun-Times reported the total number of weekend shooting victims had risen to 23, with two more fatalities.

One of those fatalities was the result of a man being shot Friday while trying to break up a fight. Two males were fighting about “9:10 p.m. in the 1600-block of North Cicero Avenue” when 42-year-old Kenny Winters stepped in to stop it. He was shot in the back and leg and taken to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Officers discovered the weekend’s third fatality Sunday night around 11:10 p.m., when officers found a man with shot multiple gunshot wounds in a doorway “in the 7700-block of South Yates Boulevard.” He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Chicago Tribune observes 243 people were shot in Chicago January 1, 2021, through February 2, 2021, alone.

China’s U.S. Envoy Joins Chorus Pressuring W.H.O. to Seek Coronavirus Origin in U.S.

China’s Ambassador to America Cui Tiankai repeated an increasingly vocal demand out of Beijing on Sunday for the World Health Organization (W.H.O.) to treat the United States as a potential origin location for the Chinese coronavirus, despite no scientific evidence suggesting this is possible.

The Chinese coronavirus originated in Wuhan, China, in late 2019. The first confirmed case of Chinese coronavirus, according to leaked Chinese documents revealed by the South China Morning Post, was identified on November 17, 2019. No evidence exists anywhere in the world for a confirmed novel coronavirus case emerging anywhere else in the world before this date.

The Chinese Communist Party has not confirmed – or denied – the legitimacy of the South China Morning Post leak and does not consider that date a viable origin point in investigating where the virus first began infecting human beings. Chinese government officials have pointed to reports suggesting that early cases of the virus occurred in places like Italy and Brazil, but those reports do not specify a date before November 17.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokespersons have also claimed, in their official capacity, that the Chinese coronavirus originated at a U.S. Army facility in Maryland, and that Washington covered up the initial outbreak by diagnosing cases as incidents of e-cigarette lung injury. Beijing has never provided any evidence for this claim or explained how a highly contagious coronavirus infection could pass for a lung injury, which is not contagious and does not require patient isolation.

A team of microbiologist investigators from the W.H.O. is currently in Wuhan, where the virus originated, seeking clues as to where the virus first began infecting humans. As the Chinese government has admitted to destroying all early evidence of the virus in the city, investigators have yet to reveal they have found any substantive information, but have insisted their year-late visit to Wuhan was “still worth” making the time.

Ambassador Cui, speaking to CNN on Sunday, pressured the W.H.O. to send similar delegations to the United States.

“[T]here have been a number of media reports about early cases in other places in the world. So there’s a certainly [sic] need for more tracing to be done all over the world in order to really trace down the origin of the virus,” Cui told the network. “So the human race could be better prepared when we are faced with another virus again. So please do not politicize the whole issue. Please let the scientists do their professional job.”

Asked if China would allow the W.H.O. team full access to relevant sites in Wuhan, Cui replied, “They are already in Wuhan. They have been in Wuhan for quite a few days. My questions [sic] is, will they be allowed to come here [America] to do the same thing?”

Cui did not offer any evidence for suggesting that the W.H.O. team visit the United States or mention the existence of any facts that would lead scientists to believe that the virus originated in America.

In the same interview, Cui insisted, “I think when people make accusations, they have to prove these accusations.”

Faced with another topic – the overwhelming evidence of extensive, systematic human rights atrocities committed by his government against ethnic minority people in western Xinjiang, China – Cui claimed that all evidence was “misinformation” and that China’s sprawling concentration camps for Muslim minorities were “vocational training centers,” the official explanation of the Communist Party.

UK Universities Under MI6 Investigation for Conspiring with Chinese Communist Party: Report

Over a dozen British universities are reportedly under investigation by security services over their relationships with the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), which may have violated national security and human rights laws.

A report from the Mail on Sunday claimed that “some of the most prestigious universities in the country” are under investigation for allegedly sharing British technology with China and therefore may be subject to “enforcement notices” imposed by Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (HMRC).

The report said that the investigation is being carried out by MI6 and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office after Downing Street raised concerns that British academics are trying to cash in on the “new gold rush” of Chinese money in exchange for access to technological breakthroughs.

A government source told the newspaper: “Exporters of military goods and those engaged in transfer of military technology specified in the Export Control Order 2008 – including universities and academics – require a licence to export or transfer from the UK.”

“It is their responsibility to comply with the regulations,” they added.

An early release of a paper from the think tank Civitas, entitled Arming China? The Chinese Military Complex and Its Potential Exploitation of Scientific Research at UK Universities, claims that at least 20 universities in the United Kingdom have relationships with 29 Chinese universities with ties to the communist nation’s military, as well as nine military-tied companies, including some of China’s largest weapons producers.

The author of the study, Radomir Tylecote, said: “British taxpayers are paying for research that might unintentionally help China’s military soon attain a potentially dominant position.”

“This is strategically incoherent – especially when UK spending on research for its own military needs is so anaemic,” Mr Tylecote added.

The Civitas report claimed that Cambridge University has worked with the National University of Defense Technology, which is run by the Chinese military and has previously been sanctioned by the United States.

Cambridge defended their work with the Chinese military, saying: “All of the university’s research is subject to ethics governance and export control regulations.”

Imperial College London — which just last year signed a £5 million deal with Chinese tech giant Huawei — was also found to have conducted three research projects with funding from Chinese arms manufacturers.

A spokesman from Imperial College said: “Science is a global endeavour, and we are proud to work with our peers in academia and industry all over the world.”

Civitas also accused Manchester University of providing “China’s main nuclear missile conglomerate with a UK taxpayer-funded research centre”.

When former President Donald Trump’s defense takes center stage at his Senate impeachment trial, so will Democrats who voiced support for rioters during the violent unrest that resulted in looting and vandalism in multiple cities last summer.

Bruce Castor, who is representing Trump along with David Schoen, was asked about his planned use of Democratic support for violence during his Friday appearance on “The Ingraham Angle.”

“Will you then respond with Maxine Waters, a number of other Democrat officials not speaking out about the antifa and other extremist rallies over the last summer?” Ingraham asked, according to Politico.

“I think you can count on that,” Castor said. “If my eyes look a little red to the viewers, it’s because I’ve been looking at a lot of video.”

“There’s a lot of tape of cities burning and courthouses being attacked and federal agents being assaulted by rioters in the streets, cheered on by Democrats throughout the country,” he said, according to a Fox News transcript.

Although House Democrats filed an article of impeachment against Trump claiming that his words and actions on the day of the Capitol incursion incited insurrection, Castor said that fiery language has become part and parcel of Washington politics.

“Many of them in Washington are using really the most inflammatory rhetoric possible to use. And certainly there would be no suggestion that they did anything to incite any of the actions,” he said. “Certainly, there wasn’t, anyhow.”

Democrats are saying through impeachment that such language is only wrong when Trump used it.

“But here, when you have the president of the United States give a speech and says that you should peacefully make your thinking known to the people in Congress, he’s all of a sudden a villain,” Castor said.

“You better be careful what you wish for.”

Castor also noted that impeaching a private citizen, which Trump now is, is unconstitutional as well as just plain wrong.

“By the House impeachment resolution logic, they can go back and impeach Abraham Lincoln,” Castor said. “They could impeach Donald Trump if he was dead because he’s not in office.

“So they could go and erase him just like they were erasing his name off of the schools in San Francisco. Isn’t that where Nancy Pelosi is from? Right?”

On Sunday, Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina said Congress needs to move on, according to The Hill.

“I’m ready to end the impeachment trial because I think it’s blatantly unconstitutional,” Graham said on “Face the Nation,” The Hill reported.

“As to Donald Trump, he is the most popular figure in the Republican Party. He had a consequential presidency. Jan. 6 was a very bad day for America, and he’ll get his share of blame in history.”

Republican Sen. Roger Wicker of Mississippi, meanwhile, called Trump’s impeachment trial, which begins Tuesday, a “meaningless messaging partisan exercise,” according to The Hill.

Before Joe Biden even took office, DHS reported a surge in illegal border crossings in anticipation of his presidency. Since taking office, Biden has been busily undoing President Trump’s border and illegal immigration policy, effectively opening our borders in the midst of a global pandemic.

In addition to halting deportations and abolishing Trump’s “remain in Mexico” policy, Biden has reinstated the disastrous Obama-era ‘catch and release’ travesty and hamstrung ICE to the point that one official said that Biden has effectively “abolish[ed] ICE without abolishing ICE.”

None of this is a surprise since Biden ran—in part—on an open borders agenda, but there is a giant COVID donkey in the room. Even the left is questioning the wisdom and impact on public health of rashly opening the borders to thousands of migrants in the midst of the Wuhan coronavirus pandemic.

Even the New York Times is expressing concern.

President Biden’s first immigration crisis has already begun as thousands of families have surged toward the southwestern border in recent weeks, propelled by expectations of a friendlier reception and by a change in Mexican policy that makes it harder for the United States to expel some of the migrants.

More than 1,000 people who had been detained after crossing have been released into the country in recent days in a swift reversal from the Trump administration’s near shutdown of the border. Many more people are gathering on the Mexican side, aggravating conditions there and testing America’s ability and willingness to admit migrants during a pandemic.

New families every day have been collecting in Mexican border towns, sleeping in the streets, under bridges and in dry ditches, according to lawyers and aid groups working along the border. On Thursday in Mexicali, across from Calexico, Calif., desperate migrants could be seen trying to scale a border fence. A migrant camp in Matamoros, Mexico, just across a bridge from Texas, has boomed to 1,000 people over the past few weeks.

Mexico Steamrolls Biden Administration, Now Outright Refusing to Accept Captured Illegal Immigrants

They’ve only been in office for a little over two weeks, but President Joe Biden and his administration are already throwing a 2014 party at the southern border — with Mexico’s help.

According to Reuters, officials in Texas are releasing illegal immigrant families from Central America because several Mexican provinces are refusing to take them back. The refusals have led to crowded Border Patrol facilities — and the release of immigrants to shelters.

The Biden administration had tried to preclude this. Yes, it introduced an immigration bill that amounted to amnesty — but it ensured that anyone who arrived in the country after Jan. 1 wouldn’t be eligible for the plan, which would provide an eight-year path to citizenship.

There was still one migrant caravan determined to make it to the U.S. border despite both the coronavirus pandemic and the Biden administration’s dithering on undoing the Trump administration’s border policies. Now, it might have to deal with yet another situation like the Obama administration saw during the 2014 migrant crisis.

The decision not to accept illegal immigrant families “expelled” from the United States has only happened in two sectors of the border, according to The Washington Post. They just so happen to be two of the busiest Customs and Border Protection sectors in terms of illegal crossings — the Del Rio Sector and the Rio Grande Sector.

The immigration from Central America — mostly Honduras — began increasing last year and has risen to problematic proportions, according to CBP spokeswoman Stephanie Malin. That’s led to families being released.

“CBP has seen a steady increase in border encounters since April 2020, which, aggravated by COVID-19 restrictions and social distancing guidelines, has caused some facilities to reach maximum, safe holding capacity,” Malin said in a statement.“Whenever feasible we are seeking alternatives to detention in cases where the law allows.”

This has led to the return of “catch and release,” whereby illegal immigrants are released into the community pending a hearing. According to BuzzFeed News, this means the immigrants are being left in border towns such as Brownsville and McAllen, Texas.

“COVID-19 protocols, changes in Mexican law, and limited US holding capacities have forced us to adapt,” CBP said in a statement.

“For those migrants who are released, CBP may work with non-government organizations who will assist them through the out-of-custody process.”

Former acting Homeland Security Secretary Chad Wolf tweeted about the mounting crisis. “This is heartbreaking,” he said Wednesday. “Catch and release is back for minors and now families. More concerning during COVID as well. This is slowly building to a full blown crisis.

“Urging the new DHS team to take decisive action now – before they are overwhelmed.”

Biden Admin Opens the Floodgates, Cancels Trump Asylum Deals With El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras

Joe Biden just showed the world that the United States / Mexico border is now back open and floods of migrants are welcome here in the USA by unilaterally and immediately cancelling “safe harbor” agreements negotiated with El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras.

In a statement, State Department Secretary Antony Blinken said the United States had “suspended and initiated the process to terminate the Asylum Cooperative Agreements with the Governments of El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras as the first concrete steps on the path to greater partnership and collaboration in the region laid out by President Biden.”

The “safe third country” agreements, inked in 2019 by the Trump administration and the Central American nations, force asylum seekers from the region to first seek refuge in those countries before applying in the United States.

Part of a bid by Trump to crack down on illegal immigrants from Central America who make up a large part of migrants apprehended at the U.S.-Mexico border, the policies were never implemented with El Salvador and Honduras, the State Department said on Saturday.

Transfers under the U.S.-Guatemala agreement have been paused since mid-March 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic, the statement added.

The moves announced Saturday came after Biden unveiled a host of measures last week aimed at changing our countries immigration system, including a task force to “reunite” families separated at the border and another to increase an annual cap on refugees.

One of the orders called for Blinken to “promptly consider” whether to notify the governments of the three countries that the United States intended to suspend and terminate the safe third country deals. It also called on the Secretary of Homeland Security and the Attorney General to determine whether to rescind a rule implementing the agreements.

So in other words the border is now open, migrants are now welcome to enter the country illegally and Joe Biden intends to fundamentally transform this country by fundamentally transforming the makeup of the American people via mass immigration.

No wonder Democrats are insisting that National Guard troops continue to occupy Washington D.C. and that “domestic extremists” are the number one threat to our country’s security.

They know these measures will be extremely unpopular and intend to ram them down our collective throats whether we like it or not.

Huge data breach from multiple websites

Google is reporting that about 20-30 websites that I use have had their user data breached.

3.2B email and password pairs were just leaked in the mother of all data breaches.

More than 3 billion user credentials were just posted online as part of a data breach compilation that’s mind-boggling in its scale.

This collection of user data is being called the COMB, or the “Compilation of Many Breaches.”

This is not the result of a new breach — rather, it pulls together stolen user data from previous breaches of services like LinkedIn and Netflix.

Most of the data breaches you read about involve hacks of specific companies or organizations. A hotel’s credit card database was breached, for example, or an email service provider was hacked, exposing customer data and login credentials which can be used in turn to access more customer data. A newly posted cache of stolen customer details, however, takes this trend to an exponential and much more disturbing level.

This breach that’s just resulted in more than 3.2 billion email-and-password pairs being posted online has been dubbed COMB, the Compilation of Many Breaches. The name is apt because this mother of all data breaches is exactly that — an amalgamation of existing data that had been stolen as part of previous breaches and leaks from companies like Netflix and LinkedIn.

The WallStreetBets crackdown, coming just one week after Joe Biden took office, shows the tactics the new regime plans to use to keep the masses in line. Although superficially a financial matter, WallStreetBets is actually being treated like a peasant uprising. Those in power, terrified and enraged at having their status threatened, are overreacting and throwing out all the rules in a flailing attempt to keep things under control.

The desperation has been so obvious that it was broadcast on TV to tens of millions of people. Leon Cooperman, who ought to be better-adjusted considering he is a billionaire, fumed on television about how beating a hedge fund was an “attack” on the rich.

Of course, in real life, short sellers have always been vulnerable to so-called “bull raids.” GameStop’s rise isn’t the first short squeeze in history. In 2008, a short squeeze of Volkswagen temporarily turned it into the world’s most valuable company.

No, the offense here is that this time, a hedge fund was the victim of an aggressive financial play, rather than the perpetrator of it, and that the winners gloated as they did so. The supposed champions of the free market are outraged that the free market actually worked.

Texas Republicans give massive taxpayer handouts to Big Tech, effectively financing censorship of their voters

Texas Republicans have financed Big Tech companies like Apple, Facebook, and Microsoft to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars using the Texas Enterprise Fund.

The report from the Texas-based Current Revolt exposes the Texas Enterprise Fund, showing how Republicans in the Texas Legislature have backed the diversion of hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars directly into the pockets of the Big Tech companies that engage in the censorship of their very own constituents.

The aim of the TEF, as disclosed on the Texas government website, is to award “deal closing” grants to companies in order to persuade them into choosing Texas as the location for their new site, whatever that may be. “The fund serves as a financial incentive for those companies whose projects would contribute significant capital investment and new employment opportunities to the state’s economy,” the website states.

However, the TEF, supported by a large list of Texas Republicans, gives money to Big Tech corporations, who regularly engage in the censorship and attempted cancellation of conservatives.

Facebook, who regularly bans conservatives from their platform and recently permanently banned President Donald Trump, were awarded $1.4 million.

Apple, who recently kicked conservative social media platform Parler off their App Store, received $46 million.

Uber, whose employees gave 97% of their political donations to Democrats, and who permanently banned former Republican Congressional candidate Laura Loomer from their service, were awarded $24 million.

Writing for Current Revolt, Tommy Oliver argued that if the TEF program was to exist, “why are we funding companies that not only hate conservatives, but are actively working to harm them?” It isn’t even clear whether the TEF actually helps the Texas economy either. This week, one group, the Better Cities Project, slammed the TEF for imposing costs on cities “in the form of reduced revenues and increased liabilities.”

John C Mozena, the president of the Center for Economic Accountability, also claimed that the grants “make local economies less free, less fair, less inclusive, less resilient, less entrepreneurial, less innovative and more biased in favor of large incumbent businesses.”

One 2019 report from the University of Austin even found that a number of companies went ahead and amended their TEF agreements, “usually committing to fewer jobs created, or their hiring schedule, or how headcount should be computed,” resulting in a far lower benefit than initially calculated.

“What we were sold is that economic growth and prosperity will foster conservative values and unity,” Oliver concludes at Current Revolt. “It was never explained how this would work, because it was a lie. We know that now.”

They had ordered millions of vaccine doses from Moderna and AstraZeneca but none for the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine.

How then, did Israel procure an estimated four to five million doses of the Pfizer vaccine in December 2020 – enough to vaccinate at least two million people?

It is astonishing that the government of Israel entrusted the health of the people to Pfizer; by entering into a secret contract that enrolled the Israeli population to become research subjects, without their knowledge or consent.

Under the contract, Real World Epidemiological EvidenceCollaboration Agreement, the government signed a commitment to vaccinate the entire seven million adult population and to provide weekly data on its citizens during a 24-month surveillance follow-up study.

The government disregarded potentially serious medical risks from the experimental vaccine and risks to privacy.

Israel is considered an ideal place for a vast epidemiological study, encompassing 9.3 million people, because of its universal, state-sponsored healthcare system in which insurers maintain 40 years of digitized medical records, including vaccination records for each Israeli citizen.

Army Taps Fort Riley Combat Aviation Brigade for Deployment to Europe, Africa Region

The U.S. Army on Monday announced the upcoming deployment of a combat aviation brigade, or CAB, out of Fort Riley, Kansas, to provide helicopter support for U.S. forces operating in Europe and Africa.

The 1st Infantry Division's CAB will replace the 101st Airborne Division's CAB in April to support U.S. Army Europe and Africa in Operation Atlantic Resolve, according to an Army news release.

Col. Bryan Chivers, commander of the 1st ID's CAB, said his Demon brigade is excited and ready for the upcoming deployment.

"We look forward to strengthening our long-standing partnership with our allies and partners, reaffirming the United States' commitment to NATO," he said in the release. "Our soldiers are well-trained and ready to support this mission, and our European partners."

The majority of the 1st ID CAB's equipment and personnel will be stationed in Germany, with a forward presence in Latvia, Romania and Poland, according to the release.

The Army merged its Europe and Africa headquarters last fall under the command of Gen. Christopher Cavoli, who was previously in charge of U.S. Army Europe as a three-star general.

Cavoli, now a four-star, said last week that the consolidation gives him the freedom to coordinate with European counterparts when they want to discuss their operations and interests in Africa.

He also said he wants to create a theater fires command in the region to more effectively monitor and track potential long-range targets on both continents.

SINKING SHIP: Just 3 of 8 Founding Members Remain at Scandal-Plagued Lincoln Project

Jennifer Horn becomes fifth founder to resign after allegedly demanding $730K pay package

The Lincoln Project lost its only female founder last week when Jennifer Horn resigned from the scandal-plagued super PAC, which has now seen five of its eight founding members depart since August 2020.

Like the Lincoln Project itself, Horn's resignation from the group is marred by controversy. She told the New York Times that her decision was based on the "grotesque" and "sickening" behavior of John Weaver, the Lincoln Project founder who left the group last month after being accused of having inappropriate sexual interactions with dozens of young men.

Horn also said, rather vaguely, that it was "clear at this point that my views about how the Lincoln Project's efforts are managed, and the best way to move the Lincoln Project forward into the future in the wake of these awful events, have diverged."

The remaining Lincoln Project founders immediately attacked Horn, suggesting that her resignation was prompted by a dispute over compensation. The group alleged that Horn had recently demanded a pay package totaling $730,000. Additional demands included a seat on the Lincoln Project board, as well as "a television show, a podcast hosting assignment, and a staff to manage these endeavors."

The Lincoln Project "immediately accepted" Horn's resignation after her demands were "unanimously rejected" by leadership, the group said in a statement. The group did not elaborate on how the $730,000 figure compared with the compensation of its other founding members.

Steve Schmidt, the Lincoln Project founder best known for advising John McCain to pick Sarah Palin as his running mate in 2008, offered some additional details on Twitter. Schmidt claimed that Horn had stated her desire to "establish immediate and long term financial security" from the Lincoln Project.

The super PAC has raised more than $87 million, primarily from liberal donors and activist groups, since launching in 2019. At least $1.5 million of that was funneled to Schmidt's consulting firm in December 2020.

Horn, the former chairwoman of the New Hampshire Republican Party, is the fifth Lincoln Project founder to cut ties with the group since August 2020. Ron Steslow and Mike Madrid reportedly resigned from the group in December, but their resignations were not publicly announced until Feb. 1, after the New York Times published a story on the Weaver scandal.

George Conway, husband of longtime Trump adviser Kellyanne Conway, announced in August 2020 that he would be "withdrawing" from the Lincoln Project to "devote more time to family matters."

The Lincoln Project, which began as an anti-Trump organization but quickly transformed itself into a generic Democratic activist group, frequently attacked the former president for his incessant scandals and inability to retain senior staff.

The group has faced mounting criticism in recent days over its handling of the Weaver scandal. A number of critics have insisted that, notwithstanding senior Lincoln Project officials' strenuous denials, the group's leadership "absolutely knew" about Weaver's inappropriate behavior with young men.

Rick Wilson, one of three remaining Lincoln Project founders along with Schmidt and Reed Galen, has threatened the group's critics with legal action.

U.C. Berkeley Advised Chinese Government on Economic Decisions

U.C. Berkeley received millions of dollars from China to operate a big data research center that advised the Chinese government, as well as fund cutting-edge research into automated cars.

The Guizhou Berkeley Big Data Innovation Research Center (GBIC)—which was jointly operated by Berkeley, the Chinese province of Guizhou's local government, and the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology—helped "Guizhou’s government in making economic decisions and improving public services," according to a 2016 Chinese government press release. Meanwhile, the taxpayer-funded California school also enlisted help from Chinese tech companies Baidu and Huawei to bolster its Berkeley DeepDrive automated car program.

Berkeley's overseas ties have allowed China to access U.S. expertise in two critical sectors: big data and automated cars. The Chinese government considers big data analytics—the use of computers to analyze large data sets—as essential to strengthen both its domestic surveillance apparatus and military capabilities, according to a RAND report. The regime has long viewed the automated car sector as a key growth area, and its spies have stolen trade secrets from Tesla and other car companies to boost its own development.

"The Chinese Communist Party is harnessing the power of artificial intelligence and big data analytics to build the most sophisticated system of state surveillance and repression in the world," said Ian Easton, a senior director at the Project 2049 Institute. "Any American university or research lab collaborating with the Chinese Communist regime or its agents on technology research is directly collaborating with a hostile foreign power. The moral, ethical, and legal risks of such behavior should be obvious to any educated American."

In a ceremony attended by Chinese Communist Party officials, the GBIC opened its doors in September 2016 with the lofty ambition of becoming a "big data research hub for world-class University of California and Chinese researchers." Since its opening, the GBIC has funneled nearly $1.9 million to the coffers of the state university, according to a Department of Education dataset of foreign donations to U.S. universities.

The government press release offered a vague description of GBIC's mandate, saying it will "provide data support for Guizhou’s government in making economic decisions and improving public services." A Berkeley website touts relatively benign work that GBIC did for the Chinese government, such as its big data analysis of elderly care. Tel Aviv To Receive $9bn In Arms From Biden Administration

The US-Israeli ‘partnership’ never changes.

The Biden administration, which is formally less supportive towards Tel Aviv than the previous one, is going to provide Israel with $9bn in weapons.

On January 8, the Israeli ministerial committee a $9bn arms deal with the United States under which Tel Aviv will receive F-35 and F-16 fighters, new troop-carrying helicopters, thousands of bombs and munitions as well as four Boeing KC-46 aerial refueling tankers.

The Israeli approval of the deal was delayed for a notable tame as there is a minor problem. While the funding for all these weapons will come from the $3.8 billion of military aid that the United States gives to Israel each year, the payment will have to come up front. Thus, at least formally, Tel Aviv will have to spend some money of this efforts. This situation is for sure unacceptable for the ‘only democracy in the Middle East’.

Nonetheless, it seems that the contradictions have been solved and Israeli media reported that US banks will provide major loans to Israel if it’s need some to use US-donated money to obtain US weapons.

Four Chinese Regulators Meet With Tesla, Urge Company To "Operate According To China Law"

It was only about 3 weeks ago that we published a piece called "Elon Musk's Chinese Fairy Tale Will Eventually Come To An End". The purpose of the piece was to reiterate what we have been saying for months: that Elon Musk's fairy tale with the Chinese government would eventually, as all relationships with the CCP do, come to an end. Just ask Jack Ma.

We were baffled that Musk had been able to hold it together even this long in China, given Tesla's short history there:

So far, Musk has been able to sidestep some ugly press in China, including out of control Tesla vehicles, forced recalls, constant price cuts and disgruntled customers. So far, Musk is holding it together in China.

But then we asked, "How long can the good times last?"

The answer, it appears, may be "about 3 weeks". That's because shares of Tesla were sliding in pre-market trading on Monday after Bloomberg reported that "China's market regulator has undertaken meetings with Tesla regarding quality issues".

Apparently, the Chinese government doesn't seem to like its citizens driving around in vehicles that need to be recalled, run out of control on Chinese streets or randomly explode while sitting in parking garages. Go figure. The headlines that hit the terminal on Monday morning included:
