jaynes hypothesis is bullshit, pseudoscientific psychobabble. he has everything exactly back-asswards.

we ALL have an internal dialog that runs in our minds CONSTANTLY, even tho many people are totally unaware of it.

jaynes hypothesizes that only primitive humans had this, and that's why they believed in gods and demons, etc.

but the internal dialog can only exist when we have language. therefore primitive human ancestors with no language

(as we know it) were incapable of such an internal dialog. if you don't think you have an internal dialog,

drop some quality acid. that's what LSD does! it make s you aware of your internal dialog, and if you take enough,

it allows you to turn it off! that's when other realities open up to your perception.
