Water Treatment Plant Intrusion Press Conference
Water plant in Florida (Osmar) is hacked. Hacker tried to change amount of chemicals in water with a computer system that allows remote access. There was a remote access at 8am on Friday. That was the initial intrusion. At 1:30 someone remotely accessed it again and moved the mouse about to control the water being treated. Person accessed for 3-5 minutes. One of the functions was one that controls the amount of sodium hydroxide in the water. sodium hydroxide AKAlye.
