no one here gives i microshit what a physics 'TARD has to say. first off, that equation does NOT apply to an impact.

the correct equation is for "impulse" (J), which equals the change in momentum for the duration of impact,

or J = mv/∆t, where ∆t is the duration of impact, and assuming the pentagon didn't move, ∆t = L/v, where L is the length of the plane.

of course, a more rigorous analysis requires calculus, but i'm not going to try to draw integrals here.
