When you empower an employee they kinda take a little ownership of the company. For example, you give them the keys and they respond to the responsibility. You take them away and they respond accordingly. Empowerment facilitates increased productivity, higher quality of life, increased morale, lower absenteeism and turnover, and less pilferage. Try telling that to an unqualified and inexperienced scatterbrain banged up on meds. Drugs are bad mmmkay, and so are the people that administer them. Ripple effect on steroids.
