I think it means that Apple is no different than the Chinese phone makers, cause their phones are made in China.
POTUS gave them a way out before having to expose them, as well, and unnecessarily tank a bright US consumer tech giant.
POTUS, in his position as CiC, has to look at US intel's access to backdoors vs China's access to backdoors, very differently, imo. Internet of Things, will still likely be a thing, unless the people stop it.
That announcement in 2016 was based off tariff fears and included Foxconn. New Apple shouldn't include Foxconn.
Was mentioned and noted. A theory I'm floating is that Apple is no different from the Chinese companies being punished. They make and
sell phones in China. But being that it's an American company, POTUS is giving them a way out and that's why we see them making
some moves away from China.
