>>12867250 GOP defector blows up Arizona Senate vote to hold Maricopa County supervisors in contempt over election audit
The Senate voted Monday on the measure, which was supported by the entire GOP caucus, but stateSen. Paul Boyerbroke ranks and joined Democrats in voting against it because he said he wanted more time for the two sides to work things out. The 15-15 vote was just one shy of the measure passing, which could have potentially led to the supervisors’ arrests, according to the Arizona Republic.
Did some digging, guess what this guy supports, he also has taught at a lot of schools
he’s for school choice, which is great, but something amiss with him
Boyer earned his bachelor's degree in English and his MA in communication studies from Arizona State University West and he teaches 11th grade Humane Letters part-time at North Phoenix Preparatory Academy and previously taught at Veritas Preparatory Academy.[6]
Political positions Edit
Previously, Boyer served as an official spokesman and policy advisor for House Majority at the State Capitol, the legislative liaison for the Arizona Department of Corrections, and a spokesman for Mesa Public Schools.[1] Boyer is currently a part-time teacher for Great Hearts Academies.[4]
Guns Edit
Boyer supports measures to limit gun control. In 2016, he introduced legislation to prevent the use of smart gun technology in Arizona. This technology adds additional safety measures that must be met in order for the gun to fire, such as fingerprint recognition or requiring the shooter to wear a special ring.[10]

Republican Sen. Boyer Introduces Bill to Provide In-State Tuition to All Arizona High-School Graduates
PHOENIX, AZ — On February 1, 2021 Republican State Sen. Paul Boyer (R. LD20) introduced SCR 1044 in the 55th Arizona Legislative Session, which will provide in-state tuition to all students who graduate from a high school in Arizona, regardless of immigration status.
The American Business Immigration Coalition (ABIC) and ALIENTO strongly support Senator Boyer’sin-state tuition referral bill. As business and community leaders in Arizona, we believe that all people who graduate from Arizona high schools, both public and private, should have the opportunity to enroll in an Arizona university or community college as an in-state resident. This bill specifically applies to all Arizona high school graduates, including our Arizona Dreamers who have lived here for at least 2 years and graduated from an Arizona high school.
