The officers were sad that so many people didn’t believe the election was honest? I don’t understand.
Their hope for profit (so to speak), might be two fold. One, a chance to smokebomb-out in the confusion, and/or two that they could survive the destruction of America and ‘be there’ to pick up the pieces and start with Their New Order as They see fit.
