Not really relevant to Mark Cuban per se, just that prior posts reminded of this doc because he's a talking head in it…

Saw link posted multiple times recently and saved it.

It ended up being a real winner, I'd say.

It's not some hard core doc for the most extreme autists.

Actually it's an eight part A&E docudrama.

But it is what it is and I thought it was one of the best done series of that form that I've watched.

It focuses on: Vanderbilt, Rockefeller, Carnegie, Morgan, and Ford.

And more generally the period in US history between the Civil War and WW1.

I am shocked at how poorly I understood that period. I literally had no intuitive grasp of the interconnections of these men, or of their different characters.

One thing that is good is that the series doesn't tell you who is good and who is bad.

You might come at it thinking most of these guys are "bad" for enabling a system of inherited wealth to control so much.

On the other hand, DJT appears as a talking head and focuses on how these were mostly men who pursued greatness.

There are many other talking heads too. I won't tell you what to think.
