The timeline of the Q campaign clearly indicates the former.

Either Q was said psy-op - then it's obvious that Q won't post again.
Or Q was genuine- then he was taken out and is most likely dead.
Doesn't make sense to move goalposts any further while we are losing dozens of miles of battleground every day.

Well they did.
I recall several Q posts hinting voter fraud and even a Trump tweet indicating that they would find more ballots at 4 am (yes Trump even gave the time).
But apparently no one went to the poll stations at night to secure them (or at least take vids).
