Here's what I'm seeing - I have a lot of very left-leaning social media friends because I'm in the "entertainment" industry. Some of them are lost. So die-hard, so hard-core, they will die on this hill, even if it all defies reason.

BUT - at least half of them are getting very worried BUT they can't really SAY that. Not in our industry. They have to either shut up or reframe the narrative so the Left doesn't look bad.

So they say things like - "We must all be super sensitive about disadvantaged populations and keep in mind that we can get canceled at any time. We must choose our words carefully (ironic, since we're writers) so as not to accidentally offend."

But every single time they will end the post with "This is all very scary."

We basically have three choices:

1. Shut up on socials and say nothing. (this is what I do)

2. Pander to the left (almost all of them do this)

3. Try and work around the outrage while getting small, nearly meaningless points across.

It's total fucking losing battle IMHO.

They have literally lost their minds.

And I do use the word literally literally.

I work with super smart people - lots of them are lawyers or have PhD's in science (including me) and they have zero common sense left.

It's like someone possessed them.

That is the only logically explanation for what is happening.

They can no longer think.
