British people should expect to receive repeated vaccinations against Covid-19 in future to keep pace with mutations of the virus, Prime Minister Boris Johnson said on Wednesday.

As vaccines are being rushed out across the world, researchers are considering tweaks and booster shots to make them more effective against new variants, some of which appear to spread more quickly.

Among those most concerning for scientists and public health experts are the so-called British, South African and Brazilian variants.

The attack on the airport came less than a week after the U.S. stopped aiding the Saudi-led campaign against the Yemeni rebels.

Acivilian aircraft was reportedly left burning after a drone attack by Yemen’s Houthi rebels on an airport in southern Saudi Arabia today. Saudi authorities say the fire at Abha International Airport in the province of Asir is now under control but there have been no mentions of casualties so far.

The attack comes less than a week after President Joe Biden’s Administration halted support for Saudi-led offensive operations against the Houthis. The State Department also subsequently removed the militant group from the list of U.S. government-designated Foreign Terrorist Groups, where it had been placed right at the end of former President Donald Trump's tenure in January. A Saudi-led coalition has been fighting the Houthis since 2015 in support of Yemen’s internationally-recognized government.
