I would argue that rights arise in a non-written culture. Englishmen in the seventeenth century had some loose, hazy, barely articulable notions of rights. Somehow these notions gave rise to their culture of rights, and finally that culture culminated in the American War for Independence.
Rights are protected not just by violence – violence is a small part of the picture. Rights are mainly protected by a community of people who all understand rights the same way, and who support each other's understanding with a mutually comprehensible narrative.
I look forward to the time when Americans can sit down peacefully, with a small cold glass of beer for each interlocutor, to discuss the shared culture of American rights.

It seems necessary that Fauci be punished for severe misconduct. Fauci is probably a traitor as well as a scientific fraud, but his fraud must be made clear to the world.
However, it would be really convenient for Trump to drop some shocking truths so that the world would start realizing that Biden is worthless and cannot be relied upon.
I am trusting the plan, one way or another. But I think Trump must be vindicated before we can undo the mischief of Fauci. We don't necessarily Trump to be sworn in again; we DO need the USA to acknowledge that the Democrats are traitors and the election was stolen. Even if the office of POTUS must be held by someone other than Trump, the traitors and pizza merchants must be public enemies.
I think CNN and MSNBC and similar news stations might have to be humbled in some shocking way. I don't know what would do the trick. It would be nice to see them shut down or nationalized. I hope the military folks have figured the fate of such media companies into their plan.

Tomorrow is Chinese New Year. The PRC is likely to be somewhat distracted with internal festivities and thus is less likely than usual to start a war. However, the astrological angle is not as informative as their general lack of a navy.
