I am definitely ignorant and probably I am stupid but I don't understand why this trickery was necessary. The president has the authority to declassify anything, even if all his subordinates disagree. The "procedure" that the president runs stuff past his subordinates is not a law - it is a decadent custom.

Why have an un-Constitutional impeachment for any former president? I know some folks will say that it can be done to Obama as well, but if it is un-Constitutional it should NOT be done!

>it's already been settled, Americans citizens, even if they've committed treason, cannot be tried before a military tribunal. That's completely unconstitutional.

Justice Kavanaugh might disagree. "Law of War" is not the same body of law.
