A (hopefully) helpful discussion on non-tripped posts
Does Q post w/out a tripcode? Yes. Anons from /pol/ know Q's early posts didn't have either a trip or signed by Q. Q adopted the trip for verification purposes because, obviously, the format of Q's posts could be duplicated in misleading posts by opposition. Anons who've been around for a while recall Q (and apparently based on responses, also Q Team) testing devices without a trip. An anon called out Q as a faggot, telling him his test worked, and the very next test post in the same bread by the same ID had Q's flashing tripcode.
Much fun was had at the expense of the embarrassed anon.
At that time, the autism level of the board was such that a number of anons became adept at pointing to non-tripped Q posts…or at least, we believed so. Those non-tripped posts were added as Q posts until Q instructed anons not to do so.
Why? Either Q and team preferred more anonymity to prevent tracking, or anons called out a misleading non-tripped post and put in something that wasn't Q. Doesn't matter why, the fact is they did not belong in identified Q posts per Q's own instructions.
How hard is it to simulate a Q post? Not very hard. It is easy to find some stringers, pull items out and put them together, and/or grab a photo and shoop it to make a "never before seen" pic.
As an example, I can take the pool table pic, shoop in Space Force and Marine Corps flags in the background, and create an entirely new pic. Lump it in with a lookalike post andBOOMyou can be misled.
It's up to each anon to use their own discernment as to what is, or may be, a non-tripped Q post.
Be wary. How hard would it be to, say, drop some coordinates in with a faked non-tripped Q post and then track IP's at goo maps, binge maps, whatever other maps anons might use?
There's literally dozens of different ways a fake Q post can be used to mislead or snare anons.
I do not tell you not to check. Nor am I saying, "Do not discuss."
I only suggest anons use discernment, security precautions when investigating, and most importantly…
Don't cream in your jeans because you think Q may have uber-cryptically posted.
It wouldn't surprise me at all that Q or "helper anons" from Q have been posting here. We've seen it - we've also been misled at times.
Discuss, investigate…but don't play pocket pool over it, ok?
