Why was Jack Ruby given injections in jail?
From Oliver Stone's "JFK" Screenplay:
"MEDICAL UNIT - JAIL - DAY (1966)
[Jack Ruby, thick fudge of an angry face, flu-ridden, confronts a doctor and two guards in his cell.]
RUBY: "Christ, what the hell kinda needle is that? I just got a cold for Chrissake. I don't want any shot!"
DOCTOR: "Please relax, Mr. Ruby. This'll calm you down and clear this up." [heh..heh]
RUBY: "Doc, I'm telling you, I don't need any shots."
DOCTOR: "Mr. Ruby, I don't want to involve the guards. It'll just take a few seconds."
[Ruby looks over at the two guards, who eye him. The Doctor gives him the injection. . . . The camera pauses on Ruby's face. The men rise and leave in the shadows.]

"Then on January 3, 1967, Ruby died of lung cancer just a month after his tumours were discovered. The disease had spread to his brain and liver, and he was declared dead in Parkland Hospital in Dallas, the same hospital JFK and Oswald were taken to.

And Garrison believed he knew the potential source of the cancer cells. “David Ferrie had a rather curious hobby,” he said. “He filled his apartment with white mice, at one point he had almost 2,000, and neighbours complained.
“He wrote a medical treatise on the subject and worked with a number of New Orleans doctors on means of inducing cancer in mice.
“After the assassination, one of these physicians, Dr Mary Sherman, was found hacked to death with a kitchen knife in her New Orleans apartment.”

If every American knew about the connection between the Polio vaccine and the transmission of a Cancer virus, 99% of us would run to a hospital to determine whether our bodies contained the Cancer virus.
