Turkish President Erdogan said on Wednesday that the only solution to resolve decades of conflict in Cyprus is to establish two states on the island.

The island split in 1974 following a Turkish invasion triggered by a Greek military coup.

(Reuters) - Instagram has removed the account of vaccine skeptic Robert F. Kennedy Jr. for repeatedly sharing debunked claims about COVID-19 in violation of its policies on the pandemic, the photo-sharing platformโ€™s owner Facebook said on Thursday.

Kennedy, the nephew of former U.S. President John F. Kennedy, and his representatives could not be reached for a comment.

A lawyer and environmentalist, he is the son of the former U.S. senator, attorney general and presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy.

Facebook had earlier this week said it would expand a list of false health claims it bans from the platform to include debunked claims about vaccines, such as they are toxic or cause autism.

Checks in the mail

When I first encountered this tweet, I had to make sure it wasn't satire. Sure enough, here we have the editor-in-chief of a prominent and globally-known medical journal arguing that we should be grateful that the pandemic originated in China, and that rightfully blaming the regime in Beijing amounts to "bias." I can't imagine how pleased the Chinese Communist Party's propaganda machine must be to have Western "experts" aiding and abetting their cause:

Republican Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia is more favorable among voters now than before her removal from the House Education and Labor Committee and the House Budget Committee, according to a Wednesday Morning Consult/Politico poll.

The poll found that 18 percent of the 1,986 registered voters surveyed have a favorable opinion of Greene after she was stripped of her committee positions, compared with 13 percent before the Republican congresswoman's removal from those posts.

The boost in favorability was larger among Republican voters.

Before she was removed from her committee seats, 19 percent of Republicans surveyed favored Greene. Her favorability among Republicans has since grown by 11 points to 30 percent.

https://www.theblaze.com/news/georgia-raphael-warnock-under-investigation

Georgia's state election board has voted to move forward with an investigation into newly elected Democratic Sen. Raphael Warnock (Ga.) over potential voter registration misconduct, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.

Warnock, who defeated Republican incumbent Sen. Kelly Loeffler on Jan. 5 in the state's runoff election, is listed as a respondent in the case because of his past role as board chairman of the New Georgia Project, a third-party voter registration group founded by former Democratic gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams.

According to an investigator with the secretary of state's office, the organization is accused of failing to meet deadlines by hand-delivering 1,268 voter registration applications to the Gwinnett County elections office after the mandatory 10-day period had elapsed. State election rules require completed applications to be submitted by voter registration organizations within 10 days after they are received from the voter.

Russia says knock it off Biden

https://www.rt.com/russia/515285-moscow-strategy-interference-biden/

Moscow must adopt a policy of containment toward the United States to prevent Washington's attempts to interfere in its domestic affairs. That's according to Sergey Ryabkov, Russia's Deputy Foreign Minister.

Speaking at a press briefing, Ryabkov revealed that Moscow "categorically disagrees with the cynical and incessant US attempts to interfere in Russia's internal affairs."

"We are open to a sensible, calm, balanced dialogue on a constructive agenda, but at the same time we will defend and protect our interests in the toughest possible way," Ryabkov said, noting that Russia should aim to prevent Washington's "aggressive interference."
