There are many reasons, but this is the major one. There are allegories in the bible to this, but people don't delve on the subject because it's a difficult one.
What did Christ mean when he talked about making children "stumble" (think mentally, spiritually, physically, sexually)? He publicly prayed over them, and sent them on their way as the Pharisees "rebuked" him, looking on? Why did the Pharisees rebuke him for this? Were they abusing the children? These evil, sick people can, and often do, corrupt an innocent child to do unspeakable sexual acts, and even convince them what they experienced was good, of their own free will, and an expression of emotions/feelings that a child should not be forced to explore. Many of the abused do not realize what they are going through is evil, and even end up defending it later in life.
That's why it perpetuates. They use sex to program them, and it works. Think about that; that's how sick they all are. This fight has been going on since the beginning of time, and arguably is the worse evil in our world. I don't bible fag often, but:

Posted these pics last bread. Remember these scriptures, and remember that Miley was a child once, too. Same with Spears, and all the other child celebrities. Instead of being angry with them, we need to remember what evil turned them into what they are now. Evil.

Why does Christ compare his followers to children? It's about the mindset. If you are wondering if there's a double-con going on, you might actually be unraveling something insightful as the people running the church today are definitely not the same that kept his message alive in the beginning.
