Israel Threatens to Abandon America, Ally With China And Russia After Securing $40B In U.S. Aid

Knesset member Ayoob Kara, who is part of Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu's Likud party, on Tuesday threatened that Israel is prepared to abandon America and ally with China and Russia if Biden "reneges on America's recognition of Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights and signs a nuclear deal with Iran."

The public statement, which our media is refusing to report on, comes a little over one month after the US congress voted to pass a law mandating we send nearly $40 billion in aid to Israel over the next decade (even if, as Nancy Pelosi said, America "crumbles to the ground").

"If the United States does not continue to recognize Israel's sovereignty in the Golan Heights and drastically changes Trump's Iran policy, Israel will have to consider building a stronger relationship with Russia and China," Kara said, tweeting out a picture of himself with former US Ambassador to Israel David Friedman.

"Till now, Israel has always considered American interests in relations to Russia and China," Kara continued. "In the past, we even cancelled a major arms deal with China in order to appease the United States."

"Yet if Biden reneges on America's recognition of Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights and signs a nuclear deal with Iran, a deal that endangers the existence and the security of the State of Israel, we must work to build stronger strategic ties to China and Russia, starting with the Haifa port deal."

A major U.S. Reform Jewish group said Friday it strongly opposes a plan by the Jewish National Fund to purchase land in the West Bank for the potential expansion of Israeli settlements in the disputed territory.

"We have long opposed the proliferation of settlements because they endanger the possibility of a two-state solution," Rabbi Rick Jacobs, president of the Union for Reform Judaism, said in a statement. "We love and support the Jewish and democratic State of Israel, which is why we will continue to strongly oppose policies that undermine the safety, security and moral character of our Jewish homeland."

Biden administration announces it will let around 25,000 asylum-seekers into the U.S.

The Biden administration announced Friday that it will be allowing tens of thousands of asylum-seekers into the United States while they wait for their next immigration court hearings.

According to reports, an estimated 25,000 asylum-seekers in Mexico with active cases will be allowed in the U.S. on Feb. 19.

The Department of Homeland Security, partnering with international organizations in Mexico, will choose the most vulnerable candidates, test them for COVID-19, and bring them into the U.S.

Homeland Security said they will begin processing up to 300 people per day, and will increase the numbers overtime.

President Joe Biden announced once he took office that asylum-seekers would no longer be subject to the “Remain in Mexico” policy, which allowed U.S. border officers to return non-Mexican asylum seekers to Mexico as their claims were tried in U.S. immigration courts.

“As President Biden has made clear, the U.S. government is committed to rebuilding a safe, orderly, and humane immigration system,” said Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas. “This latest action is another step in our commitment to reform immigration policies that do not align with our nation’s values.”

According to DHS, more people are crossing the border illegally since Biden took office.

Raul Ortiz, deputy chief of the Border Patrol, told the Associated Press Tuesday that more than 3,000 people had been stopped crossing the border illegally in each of the previous 10 days, compared to a daily average of 2,426 in January.

Damning report concludes prominent evangelist Ravi Zacharias sexually abused women for years

An investigation commissioned by Zacharias' organization turned up copious amounts of credible evidence

Well-known Christian apologist, Ravi Zacharias, who died last spring, is guilty of "sexting, unwanted touching, spiritual abuse, and rape" of multiple women over the course of several years, the global evangelical organization he founded announced in an open letter this week.

"It is with shattered hearts that we issue this statement," the organization, Ravi Zacharias International Ministries, wrote following the completion of an investigation ordered by the organization last fall after a report published by Christianity Today detailed allegations that Zacharias sexually harassed multiple massage therapists employed at two Atlanta-area day spas co-owned by the evangelist.

After initially denying the allegations against Zacharias, claiming that they "do not in any way comport with the man we knew for decades," RZIM acknowledged this week that credible evidence uncovered during the investigation had changed its perspective.

"We believe not only the women who made their allegations public but also additional women who had not previously made public allegations against Ravi but whose identities and stories were uncovered during the investigation," RZIM's statement said. "We are devastated by what the investigation has shown and are filled with sorrow for the women who were hurt by this terrible abuse."

The independent law firm that conducted the probe, Miller & Martin PLLC, published its findings on Tuesday, outlining a troubling pattern of abuse. In the report, more than a dozen massage therapists, who were typically much younger than him, spoke out about frequent inappropriate behavior and alleged that Zacharias often tried "for more than a massage."

"Eight therapists reported that Mr. Zacharias would start the massage either completely nude or would remove the sheets during the massage. Six therapists reported that he always or almost always had an erection during the massage. Four therapists reported that he would either touch his genitals or ask them to touch his genitals. And five therapists reported that he touched or rubbed them inappropriately," the report stated.

One massage therapist "reported details of many encounters over a period of years that she described as rape," the report stated. She noted that while her relationship with Zacharias started out as a normal therapist-client relationship it evolved over time until she came to think of him as a "father figure." He came to elicit personal information from her and eventually required sex.

According to the report, "She said he warned her not ever to speak out against him or she would be responsible for the 'millions of souls' whose salvation would be lost if his reputation was damaged."

Several of the therapists alleged that Zacharias would offer ministry funds to provide financial support only to pressure them later to perform sexual favors.

The investigation also reportedly uncovered that Zacharias would often inappropriately engage in text and email relationships with women. A probe of his electronic devices found that he had more than 200 massage therapist contacts in his cellphones and more than 200 selfies from younger women, some of them nudes.

Decades Before The Civil War, Lincoln Saw An Approaching Storm. Every American Should Read His Warning

Beyond their brutality, the young lawyer feared these mobs for the lawlessness they embodied – and the idle familiarity with which his fellow Americans seemed to accept these incidents.

To a hall filled with young men on a cold Illinois night in January 1838, Abraham Lincoln delivered his earliest recorded public remarks.

For the 50 years prior, the living rooms, parlors, and public offices of our country had been teeming with the brave Americans who’d fought, struggled, and suffered to create these United States. “Nearly every American,” Lincoln recalled, “had been a participator in some of its scenes.”

But now that generation was dying off. What no invading army could, time, he lamented, had itself accomplished: “They were a forest of giant oaks; but the all resistless hurricane had swept over them, and left only, here and there, a lonely trunk… to combat, with its mutilated limbs, a few more ruder storms, then to sink, and be no more.”

Without their life experience, he realized, his was the first generation of Americans tasked with upholding their fathers’ noble experiment simply by the strength of their own virtues. This, he warned, would be very difficult.

As he looked around him, at both slave states and their northern neighbors, he saw and feared the evil of swelling mobs not merely for their unfortunate victims, but for our national tolerance of their violence and misrule — and the effect this shrugging of shoulders and murmuring of approval or disapproval would have on patriotic and unpatriotic men alike.

The incidents weren’t always seemingly connected by cause. A group of gamblers hanged; a mixed-race murderer burned alive; black men suspected of planning insurrection, and then white men suspected of sympathizing, and then simply out-of-state strangers caught in the middle of swelling hate. But beyond their brutality, the young lawyer feared these mobs were connected for the lawlessness they embodied — and the idle familiarity with which his fellow Americans seemed to accept these incidents.

While the 1830s mobs “hang gamblers, or burn murders,” he cautioned, tomorrow’s mobs would hang and burn the innocent — “and thus it goes on, step by step, till all the walls erected for the defense of the persons and property of individuals, are trodden down, and disregarded.”

While after January 2021’s Capitol riot we’ve all seen the ruthless efficiency with which our government is capable of cracking down on lawlessness, we too saw the summer before, when months of attacks on federal officers, politicians, police, private homes, courthouses, and innocent bystanders met calculated indifference and shrugged excuses for “historic racial injustices.”

This too, was well familiar to Lincoln, who knew the mob will go further and spread deeper, warning, “by instances of the perpetrators of such acts going unpunished, the lawless in spirit, are encouraged to become lawless in practice; and having been used to no restraint, but dread of punishment, they thus become, absolutely unrestrained.”

Rubio: ‘Possible’ We Have Senate Impeachment Vote by Sunday Morning

During a Friday appearance on “The Hugh Hewitt Show,” Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) discussed the Senate impeachment proceedings against former President Donald Trump.

Rubio, who is voting to acquit Trump of the allegations of inciting an insurrection at the U.S. Capitol last month, warned the country will “regret” ruling the impeachment of someone no longer in office is constitutional.

“Even assuming Congress did have the constitutional power to impeach and remove a former official, it shouldn’t, and here’s why. It’s the creation of a new political weapon that will. We will see used. We’ll regret creating that weapon. One day, it’ll be used by a Democratic Senate to disqualify a former cabinet member who wants to challenge a Democratic incumbent. And one day, it’ll be used by a former Republican, future Republican Senate to disqualify a Democratic vice president from running for president. We’ll regret creating that tool. Donald Trump is now a private citizen. And if in fact, he has committed crimes as the House managers claim he has, then he is answerable to the civil and criminal courts of this country — no longer to the Senate.”

Rubio also suggested there should be a vote “as early as” Saturday night “or maybe Sunday morning.”

“I think it appears from press reports that the president’s lawyers are going to wrap up today and get to questions, so it’s possible that we could have a vote as early as tomorrow night or maybe Sunday morning, it looks like,” he advised.

Hundreds gather in Melbourne CBD to protest COVID-19 lockdown

As Victoria braces to be flung into a snap lockdown from 11.59pm tonight, hundreds have gathered at Melbourne CBD to protest the restrictions.

Police have set up a barrier at the steps of Flinders Street Station, where organisers told crowds to meet at 7pm.

The message coming out of protesters is to "make your voices heard" saying Melburnians cannot endure another lockdown.

The hard lockdown comes as the Holiday Inn cluster grew to 13 cases overnight, now spreading beyond the hotel quarantine program.

Hundreds have begun marching through the city, escorted by police as organisers say they are heading towards the Australian Open at Rod Laver Arena.
