White is in checkmate, but the position is impossible. The black knight on c2 has the king in check, as does the black queen on g4. This can only be achieved by the knight moving out of the queen's check path, "discovering" the check. (Yes, it is called "discovered check.")
The knight would have had to have moved from e4 or f4 to discover this check, both of which moves are impossible.
So, what is the purpose of this photo? My guess is that the white king on d4 tells us this is "4d chess," that many on this board like to say 41020 is playing.
