Also, the issue of the "two beeps of a car horn" came up in the interrogation of David Ferrie, who at one point had told Garrison-connected investigators that he was going to be the "escape driver" as well as the "getaway pilot" for Oswald.

Ferrie had said that, when Oswald had arrived at a "safe point" after the shooting, he, (Ferrie) was to meet him in a vehicle and the signal was to be "two beeps of the horn."

Ferrie had gone on to say that the airfield in question, was located north of Houston. Only years later, during the Iran-Contra investigation, did the existence of that airfield north of Houston emerge.
