Yes, yes it does. While legal to purchase and build, the paper (digital) trail of purchase leads directly back to you. Unless you purchase one for cash from a total stranger wearing enough shit to defeat facial recognition and then disappear down a rabbit hole where the traffic cams don't track you from the place of purchase then you are building your own trap.
When they try to force registration they're smart enough to put in a provision that ALL firearms must have a serial number. The purchase history gives them probable cause to "check" your premises if you don't apply a stamp and register your firearm.
Same thing with downloading software for printing your own parts. These posts are not from a friend……………
