David Perdue Files FEC Paperwork To Run For Senate In 2022

Federal Election Commission forms filed by David Perdue indicate that the former senator will run for Georgia's other senate seat in 2022.

Former Georgia Republican Sen. David Perdue filed forms with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) to indicate that he will again run for Senate in Georgia in 2022.

Perdue filed the statement of candidacy form with the FEC on Feb. 15. In addition to his own Perdue For Senate Political Action Committee (PAC), which raised nearly $42 million for the 2020 election cycle, Perdue listed former President Donald Trump’s PAC, Georgia Trump Victory, and Republican Texas Sen. Ted Cruz’s PAC, Cruz Senate Victory 2020, as eligible “to receive and expend funds on behalf of my candidacy.”

He would run against Democratic Georgia Sen. Raphael Warnock, who won the runoff of a Jan. 5 special election against former Sen. Kelly Loeffler. Warnock is serving out the remainder of former Republican Sen. Johnny Isakson’s term. Isakson retired at the end of 2019 due to health concerns. Perdue lost his original seat to Democrat Jon Ossoff in a Jan. 5 runoff.

He spent the long weekend celebrating Valentine's Day and playing Mario Kart

Biden was decked out in presidential gear for the trip, including a brown aviator jacket with the Air Force One logo

He also wore a Camp David cap given to him by his grandchildren

Naomi Biden traveled back with her grandparents, accompanied by her boyfriend Peter Neal and her dog, Charlie

It was Biden's first Valentine's Day and President's Day as commander in chief

Jill Biden marked the occasion by tweeting a photo of Biden signing a piece of paper while sitting at the Resolute Desk in the Oval Office

'All that he does, he does for you. Happy #PresidentsDay,' the first lady wrote

Biden also posted a picture of himself with his arms around his wife, writing: 'The love of my life and the life of my love. Happy Valentine's Day, Jilly'
