The house the Obama's stayed at for a week after they left the White House is owned by James Costos ambassador to Spain, and Michael Smith, Michelle Obama's personal decorator at the White house. The property at 70,000 Thunderbird Mesa Drive, Rancho Mirage, CA used to be owned by Stan Jolley the original designer of Disneyland. It has a keystone shaped swimming pool. It's very secluded. In 1979 the Shah of Iran was in negotiations to buy it.
