Wind turbine energy in Texas is a whole 5%..

The whole it's the renewables causing power outages is bullshit.

It's the Rothschilds. They own the power companies.

Prior to the MPSC, Ms. Talberg was a senior consultant at Public Sector Consultants. There, she co-led the development of Michigan Saves, a nonprofit green bank that has financed over $200 million in energy efficiency projects, while also helping staff the state's wind zone board and offshore wind council. She has also served in an advisory capacity to commissioners at the Public Utility Commission of Texas and the Michigan Public Service Commission, addressing retail and wholesale market issues, facility siting, ratemaking, and other regulatory issues. The big wind farms are stupid. You lose half the power by transmitting it through the lines to the point of use.

But smaller solar and wind farms together make sense.

Texas produces the most wind power of any U.S. state. According to ERCOT (Energy Reliability Council of Texas), wind power accounted for at least 15.7% of the electricity generated in Texas during 2017, as wind was 17.4% of electricity generated in ERCOT, which manages 90% of Texas's power.

if 17% of the energy can take down the grid, some engineers need to pay up.

All power transmitted through lines is subject to line loss. Power plants should be as close to energy demand area as possible.

Would require much smaller power plants, plus less line maint.

Watch out when you start messing with 277/480.

But one of the worst shocks I got was from installing an outdoor GFI (early in my carrer). Boss said power was off, so I grabbed it without checking, wet day. Ouch!
