One of the best P-R stations in the world - for music - is WXPN. People around the world live stream it.
They held a Blues Concert once and I got tickets. Went there wearing T-shirt and jeans. It was the blues! Everyone affiliated with the station and most other attendees were dress in Evening clothes, but cheesy. Like phony 'I'm superior' intellectuals. I felt so out of place, as if I had gone to Lincoln Center dressed in jeans. They acted like something was wrong with me. I complained as I was checking in. Woman said well you could go home and change. I said I'm not the one inappropriately dressed and they should have said up front that formal wear was required and that then I wouldn't have attended because that is bogus posturing for a blues concert. Demanded my money back. As I was leaving one of the bands was coming in and I said "Good luck guys. These are pretentious assholes." They rolled their eyes and said "We know!".
