Anyone adopt an adult dog?

I've adopted several dogs before, but this one will not leave my side (going on 2 yrs). No matter what I do, no matter where I go, he is RIGHT THERE.

If I tell him to lay down someplace thats 2 ft from me, his eyes get freaky panicked.

Yeah, I've never seen a dog do this in my life.

I picked him out at the shelter,, maybe spent 5 minutes w/ him. As I was filling out the paperwork, he escaped the staff & found me in a huge room of people. He's never left my side.

This dog (now 105 lbs) is the most amazing dog I've ever had, I just worry about his 'issues'.
