China Angry: The US-Japan Ready For a War-With Beijing In escalating row the South China Sea

Amid the growing belligerence of China in the East and the South China Sea following Beijing's enactment of a new coast guard law, US-Japan is now deliberating on an apt response to the legislation, which is poised to escalate tensions in the region.

The new Chinese law allows Beijing's coast guard to use weapons against foreign ships that it sees as illegally entering its waters, sparking fear that Japanese vessels navigating around the Senkaku Islands would be targeted.

A 2020 US-japan Department of Defense report notes that over the past decade, China has more than doubled the number of large coast guard ships over 1,000 tons, from about 60 in 2010 to over 130 as of last year

The Philippines wants to keep its visiting forces deal with the US, Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana said on Thursday, amid growing concern at China’s expansive maritime activities in the region.

The Visiting Forces Agreement (VFA), signed in 1998, grants legal status to US forces temporarily stationed in the Philippines, a former US colony, for exercises, humanitarian assistance and disaster relief.

The US sends two Aircraft Carriers & Warplanes after China fires test missiles at US Warships in the South China Sea.

Beijing said it would work with other countries in the region to maintain peace and stability after the United States sent two aircraft carrier strike groups to the disputed South China Sea on Tuesday, the latest sign of continued military tension under the Biden administration.

“The US frequently sends ships and planes into the South China Sea to show off its force, which is not conducive to regional peace and stability,”

Two US Navy aircraft carrier strike groups began operations in the disputed waters of the South China Sea on Tuesday, seven months after two aircraft carriers maneuvered in the same region and prompted Beijing to send two missiles in an attacking test.
