Welp, went online to watch next day of America's Cup sailboat races, and found, lo and behold, the country ramped up lockdowns again because 3 people tested positive for the common cold… What I think the real reason is, is that the world was watching huge crowds of people having fun together and NO ONE IS WEARING MASKS…. can't have that, doesn't go with the lockstep message….
As of 11.59pm tonight, Auckland will move into Alert Level 3 for three days until 11.59pm on February 17, Ardern said in a press conference with Director-General of Health Dr Ashley Bloomfield this evening. The rest of New Zealand will enter Level 2.
