I've been considering the consequences of this (border securing worldwide & stateside = harder to get drugs in stateside = price increase for the black market). It won't all be good, because competition will increase also, thus, violence between drug cartels, gangs, etc. I'm sure that there's measures in place, however, it won't all be good.
True, there's that too, POTUS made it a point to address & begin cleaning that up as well, the so-named opioid crisis. It's a problem that has to be attacked on both fronts, the "corporate" drug trade + the "non-corporate" drug trade ,"legal" and "illegal" drugs.
Also, treatment, rehabilitation, + something else to do & live for regarding those who's supplies will soon be cut off, from wholesale trafficker to mule, dealer, & abuser levels. GREAT reasons to make gainful employment and small businesses a priority.
