Govt to Hand Over Unredacted Rosenstein Memo Detailing Mueller’s Scope

The Federal Judge in the Manafort case is not messing around.

Judge T.S. Ellis lost his temper Friday in a Manafort hearing and accused Mueller’s prosecutors of using the case against Trump’s former campaign chairman to oust the President from office.

Mueller’s wheels are falling off.

“You don’t really care about Mr. Manafort’s bank fraud,” District Judge T.S. Ellis said to prosecutor Michael Dreeben, at times losing his temper. Ellis said prosecutors were interested in Manafort because of his potential to provide material that would lead to Trump’s “prosecution or impeachment,” Ellis said.

“That’s what you’re really interested in,” said Ellis, who was appointed by President Ronald Reagan.

Judge Ellis also ordered the government to hand over the unredacted Rosenstein memo.

The Judge told Mueller’s prosecutors, “We don’t want anyone with unfettered power.”

Mueller’s prosecutors argued they have certain authorities given to them which were laid out in Rosenstein’s August 2017 memo.

Judge Ellis scoffed at Mueller’s prosecutors who argued the memo has to be kept a secret because of ongoing investigations and ordered the unredacted memo to be released within a two week time frame.

Mueller’s team says its authorities are laid out in documents including the August 2017 scope memo – and that some powers are actually secret because they involve ongoing investigations and national security matters that cannot be publicly disclosed.

Ellis seemed amused and not persuaded.

He summed up the Special Counsel’s Office as, “We said this was what [the] investigation was about, but we are not bound by it and we were lying.”

He referenced the common exclamation from NFL announcers, saying: “C’mon man!”

The judge also —gave the government two weeks to hand over the unredacted “scope memo” or provide an explanation why not after prosecutors were reluctant to do so, claiming it has material that doesn’t pertain to Manafort.

“I’ll be the judge of that,” Ellis said.

Inspector General Reportedly Gearing Up to Release Scathing Assessment on James Comey

The much-anticipated Inspector General report will likely be very rough on fired FBI Director James Comey, according to sources.

Although the exact release date of the IG report on Comey is unknown, it is expected to be released very soon.

Sources tell TIME Magazine, Comey faces a punishing report from Inspector General Michael Horowitz.

Horowitz is currently investigating the FBI’s handling of Hillary Clinton’s investigation into her private server and mishandling of classified information.

This particular IG report on Comey will focus on his misconduct over the Hillary investigation.

The Justice Department’s Inspector General, Michael Horowitz, will soon release a much-anticipated assessment of Democratic and Republican charges that officials at the FBI interfered in the 2016 presidential campaign. That year-long probe, sources familiar with it tell TIME, is expected to come down particularly hard on former FBI director James Comey, who is currently on a high-profile book tour. It will likely find that Comey breached Justice Department protocols in a July 5, 2016, press conference when he criticized Hillary Clinton for using a private email server as Secretary of State even as he cleared her of any crimes, the sources say. The report is expected to also hit Comey for the way he reopened the Clinton email probe less than two weeks before the election, the sources say.

The Inspector General released a scathing report on former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe in mid-April.

The report by the Office of Inspector General criticized McCabe for “lack of candor” regarding his disclosure to Wall Street Journal reporters before the 2016 election.

McCabe lied at least three times under oath, he lied to the Inspector General and lied to James Comey.

As a result of these investigations and reports, Andrew McCabe has been criminally referred to the Justice Department twice.

Inspector General Horowitz opened a separate investigation into James Comey on April 20th over classified information stemming from his memo leaks.

The release date of the IG report on Comey’s memo leaks is unknown at this time.

Unfortunately without an active Attorney General, the criminal referrals remain stagnant.

I think it might come to that after the court hearing with Manafort is finished, and they don't submit the unredacted memo. I have a feeling they will try and stall it.

I hear that loud and clear! The right person for the job, and if they don't work as they should, we are in control, we fire their asses. They have to love what this country was founded for as much as we do. I think taking the big money out of the system would also be a great start.
