Cop Caught In The Act, On-Duty Attempting Sex with a Child and He Is Still on the Job
Charlotte County, FL — Charlotte County Deputy Marty Allen, 41, was arrested on Sunday after he was caught in the act of soliciting a child for sexual relations. Today is Wednesday, and Allen is still employed with the department.
According to police, a concerned citizen was posing as a 15-year-old girl in a make-shift vigilante child predator sting. The conversations stayed online until that citizen found out that the person he was chatting with was a CCSO deputy and then turned over the records to police. On February 10, deputies inside Allen’s own department took over the sting.
According to police, they were able to get Allen to agree to meet with the fictional 15-year-old girl and he was arrested on Sunday during that meeting.
“Deputy Allen has broken his oath and that sacred trust that is expected as a law enforcement officer, instead, choosing to prey upon those he swore to serve and protect. This cannot and will not be tolerated,” stated Sheriff Bill Prummell in a press conference this week.
Prummell described the deputy’s actions in detail and noted that he was on the taxpayer’s dime when much of it took place.
“Much of these conversations were determined to have occurred while Allen was on duty,” he said.
During these conversations, the deputy would steer them toward a sexual subject matter.
“While the investigator was chatting with Allen, Allen’s conversation became sexual in nature; to sleeping nude together, to taking showers, or giving massages,” Prummell said during the press conference.
Allen would ask then child for nude photos of her in the shower. He even asked her to move in with him.
“Allen went so far as to ask if the 15-year-old girl would move in with him at his residence,” Prummell said in the video posted to the CCSO Facebook page.
“A meeting was set up with Allen to meet the 15-year-old girl, at which point he did drive to that location,” Prummell said. “He was later taken into custody by detectives.”
The investigation is ongoing, but there is no evidence there are other victims, Prummell added.

Several Clinton appointees to the court plan to take ‘senior status’, allowing appointment opportunities to Biden
During President Donald Trump’s tenure, he successfully weakened the power of Democrats on the 9th Circuit Court, the largest jurisdiction in the United States and, therefore, the court that hears the largest number of cases.
For decades, the 9th Circuit Court delivered the most liberal decisions to the US Supreme Court and, in many cases, to the nation. But President Trump’s appointments to the bench in that jurisdiction achieved a more moderate and centrist bench.
But now, as Joe Biden begins to focus on judicial appointments, there is a significant chance the 9th Circuit Court will swing back to the left.
Since the 2020 General Election, several long-serving judges on the court have expressed their intention of taking “senior status.” This status exists as a state of semi-retirement, thus freeing up positions for the President’s nominees.
In total, those who have expressed a desire to take senior status number nine judges. All of those considering the move were appointed by then-President Bill Clinton, guaranteeing a reliable liberal bent in the court’s decisions.
President Trump’s appointments disturbed the Democrat majority on that bench. During his four years in office, he diluted the 11-seat margin Democrats held on the 29-judge panel to three.
“President Trump appointed 10 judges to the 9th Circuit and dramatically changed its overall ideology,” Erwin Chemerinsky, the dean of the University of California, Berkeley’s law school told reporters.
Judge Milan Smith, a Bush appointee to the court, said President Trump’s 10th pick had “effectively flipped the circuit.” But with the nine judges considering senior status, this situation is tenuous at best.

John Sullivan – the founder of a left-wing activist group – received $77,000 from various media outlets including CNN and NBC for his footage of Trump supporter Ashli Babbitt being shot at the U.S. Capitol.
Facing criminal charges for his involvement in the riots, Sullivan was forced to disclose payments he received for the footage of Babbit being fatally shot by a Capitol police officer.
Among the media companies that paid Sullivan were CNN, NBC, Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC), and Left/Right Productions. CNN and NBC each paid $35,000, ABC paid $2,500, and Left/Right Productions paid $5,000.
“Defendant is legitimately self-employed as a documentarian and it is oppressive to require that he not be allowed to continue his primary area of employment for an extended period of time,” Sullivan’s lawyer reasoned in a court filing where Sullivan requested to be allowed to continue using Facebook and Twitter.
Sullivan, the founder of “an activist group formed after the killing of George Floyd in the summer of 2020” entitled Insurgence USA which “calls itself anti-fascist and protests police brutality,” insisted he was only inside the U.S. Capitol on January 6th to “record.”
“I just wanted to be able to show people how it was, and I knew I would be able to get to the truth and to the front and be able to show you, I’m talking to these people, I’m conversing with these people in the crowd, but I can’t tell you that I agree with Trump or MAGA supporters,” Sullivan told Fox News.
Despite these remarks, the 18-page affidavit reveals that Sullivan allegedly incited violence by exclaiming “we gotta get this shit burned” and “it’s our house motherfuckers.”

France: Child Prostitution Increased 600 Per Cent from 2014 to 2020
Between 2014 and 2020, the number of children reported being exploited and sold by sex traffickers in France increased by 600 per cent, according to the country’s human trafficking agency.
The French Central Office for the Suppression of Human Trafficking (OCRTEH) revealed that the number of minors reported as being exploited as child prostitutes was 28 in 2014, but the number rose to 198 in 2020, representing a 600 per cent increase in just six years.
One of the areas in which the number of child prostitution cases has especially multiplied in recent years is Lille, where prosecutor Carole Étienne has said the figures should act as a “wake-up call” for authorities, Actu reports.
Earlier this month, the city saw the latest case involving two young men involved in a sex trafficking network that included children.
One man was accused of taking pictures of the girls and using them to advertise their services on social media, while the other is accused of providing security for the young victims.
Prosecutor Carole Étienne said: “In 2020, of the pimping cases we had to deal with, there were 33 victims and 22 were minors. It’s a wake-up call I want to push.”
“They are often vulnerable, struggling people between the ages of 14 and 17, on the run,” Étienne said. She added: “We see a trivialisation of pimping and prostitution among young people, to finance a lifestyle.”
Several other cases of child prostitution made headlines last year in France, including a report from Dijon in which a judge was accused of pimping out his 12-year-old daughter to other men through an online dating website.
In 2019, the Observatory of Violence Against Women in Seine-Saint-Denis published a report claiming that around a third of the underage prostitutes in Paris’s no-go suburbs were under the age of 15 and that some were as young as just six years old.

Millions remain in the dark in Texas as Midwest, South endure deep freeze
Millions of people in Texas were still without power at the start of the day Wednesday, owing to the major winter storm that spans a large swath of the United States and produced rare snowfall in the Lone Star State.
The storm arrived early this week, bringing snow and bitter cold temperatures across Texas and other parts of the Midwest and Southeast.
AccuWeather reported that a record 73% of the continental United States is covered with snow, topping the old mark of 71% from 2011. At this time last year, the snow coverage across the country was just 35%.
More than 4 million customers initially lost power when the snow arrived and about 3 million were still without electricity on Wednesday, according to poweroutage.us.
Utility officials say the outages could last for several more days.
The state began rolling blackouts across Texas on Monday to reduce demand as low temperatures forced more power sources offline than expected. The state’s electrical grid struggled to handle demand when the cold front first arrived last weekend.
Hundreds of thousands of customers in Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, West Virginia and Virginia are also still without electricity. Some power outages were also reported in New Orleans, which saw muted Mardi Gras celebrations this week due to the weather and the COVID-19 pandemic.
Frigid cold was reported across the Midwest on Wednesday, including below-zero temperatures in Oklahoma City, Dallas and San Antonio, which actually set a record low on Tuesday — topping a mark set in 1895.
Lincoln, Neb., which recorded a low of -31 degrees Fahrenheit on Tuesday, set a record low on Wednesday morning.
So far, at least 20 deaths across the impacted states have been attributed to the storm.
Ice also continues to be a major problem across the storm system. Several states are urging residents to stay home and avoid driving. Dozens of vehicle crashes have occurred across the region related to the severe weather.
Hundreds more flights were canceled at major airports in the South and Midwest, including Dallas, Houston, Nashville and Atlanta, according to FlightAware.
On Galveston Island along the Texas Gulf Coast, officials placed the city under a Stage 5 water restriction after major water pipe breaks. Residents were asked to limit water use, including showers and lawn care.
Officials in Tulsa, Okla. reported 92 water main breaks.
Another winter storm is expected to affect the Ohio Valley and New England in the coming days, after it moves on from the southern Plains.
As many as 12 inches of snow — and as much as 2 feet in higher elevations — are expected from West Virginia to Maine.

GOP Report: Secretary of State Blinken Founded Firm That Received Chinese Money for DOD Research-Linked Universities
The Republican Study Committee (RSC) called out the “weaknesses” of the Biden administration’s policy towards communist China this week, in part, by exposing the ties between several political appointees, including Secretary of State Antony Blinken, and Beijing.
Ahead of the push, Breitbart News’ Matt Boyle exclusively learned from RSC Chairman Jim Banks (R-IN) that the panel is launching a legislative blitz starting Tuesday against Biden to expose his weaknesses in combating the threat posed by China.
A six-page memo issued by the RSC suggested that the link between the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and Secretary of State Antony Blinken, a long-time Biden confidant now charged with carrying out the U.S. foreign policy agenda, may prompt a conflict of interest when it comes to confronting China.
In describing the links between several Biden picks for influential political positions and China, the RSC chaired by Rep. Banks noted in its memo:
Blinken was the co-founder of the consulting company WestExec Advisors, which according to the Washington Free Beacon, “helped U.S. universities raise money from China without running afoul of Pentagon grant requirements.”
Some of the firm’s work appeared to have U.S. national security implications.
Among other Biden political appointees who did work for the firm is Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Avril Haines, the head of the U.S. intelligence community, and press secretary Jen Psaki, the RSC noted.
The panel also accused Bidens’ U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Linda Thomas Greenfield, a State Department employee with a “history of troubling comments praising and welcoming China’s role in Africa,” of being cozy with Beijing.
In early December 2020, the Washington Free Beacon reported that the Washington, DC-based WestExec firm scrubbed details of its work on China from its website. The move came as the firm’s businesses drew scrutiny after Biden won the presidency.
“The company deleted references to such work from its website between July 26 and August 2, weeks before Biden accepted his nomination at the Democratic National Convention in late August,” the Beacon explained.
Citing an archived version of a West-Exec site, the Free Beacon further noted that the firm worked to help:
U.S. research universities … remain a trusted partner for DoD [Department of Defense]-sponsored research grants while expanding foreign research collaboration, accepting foreign donations, and welcoming foreign students in key STEM [Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics] programs.

Joe Biden Recommits to Amnesty for Illegal Aliens as 17M Americans Are Jobless
President Joe Biden recommitted on Tuesday that he wants to pass an amnesty for 11 to 22 million illegal aliens living in the United States even as more than 17 million Americans remain jobless.
During a CNN town hall event with Anderson Cooper in Wisconsin, Biden said it is “essential” that any piece of legislation regarding immigration must include an amnesty for nearly all illegal aliens in the U.S.
The exchange went as follows:
COOPER: Just to be clear though … you do want a pathway to citizenship for roughly 11 million undocumented immigrants and that would be essential in any bill for you?
BIDEN: Well, yes. But, by the way, if you came along and said to me, “In the meantime we can work out a system whereby we’re going to” … for example, we used to allow refugees, 125,000 refugees into the United States on a yearly basis. It was as high as 250,000. Trump cut it 5,000.
Come with me … into Sierra Leone. Come with me into parts of Lebanon. Come with me around the world and see people piled up in camps, kids dying, no way out, refugees fleeing from persecution. We, the United States, used to do our part. We were part of that … “send me your huddled masses.”
If you had a refugee bill by itself, I’m not suggesting that, but … there are things I would deal by itself but not at the expense of saying I’m never going to do the other. There is a reasonable path to citizenship.
This week, Biden is expected to roll out his amnesty plan with elected Democrats. Simultaneously, as a result of economic lockdowns spurred by the Chinese coronavirus crisis, about 17.1 million Americans are out of work but all of whom want full-time jobs.
In his previously proposed amnesty plan, out late last month, Biden seeks to immediately provide green cards to millions of illegal aliens considered farmworkers, enrolled in the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, and Temporary Protected Status (TPS) beneficiaries.
The amnesty would provide all other illegal aliens with a fast-track to green cards and citizenship while driving up legal immigration by providing more visas to programs like the Diversity Visa Lottery and exempting family members of certain visa holders from current caps.
Already, the U.S. provides green cards to 1.2 million legal immigrants and 1.4 million temporary visas to foreign nationals every year. These arrivals are in addition to the hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens who turn up at the U.S.-Mexico border and are either released into the interior of the country or successfully cross without being detected by federal immigration officials.

Bette Midler Suggests Texas Deadly Winter Storm Is ‘Payback’ from God to Senators Cruz, Cornyn
As millions of Texans suffer through an unprecedented winter storm that has caused widespread power outages and has claimed the lives of at least 21 people, actress Bette Midler is using their hardship to score political points, seeming to argue that the storm is “payback” from God against Sens. Ted Cruz and John Cornyn.
Bette Midler tweeted her divine retribution theory late Tuesday, describing the Republican senators from Texas as “hateful,” “vicious,” and “cruel.” She implied that God is punishing the politicians for voicing objections to the Electoral College certification in January.
While Sen. Cruz registered his challenge to Biden’s certification, Midler incorrectly cited Sen. Cornyn, who declined to join fellow Republican lawmakers in their Electoral College objections.
“I feel for the people suffering thru this weather, but #God doesn’t seem to like #TedCruz or #JohnCornyn. These two also never recognized that #Joe won,” she wrote. “If this isn’t payback, I don’t know what is.”
The winter storm is believed to have knocked out power to 4 million Texans as unprecedented snowfall and winds dealt a blow to green energy sources, including windmills that were rendered useless due to ice.
As Breitbart News reported, White House press secretary Jen Psaki said Tuesday that while President Joe Biden was “monitoring” states severely impacted by winter storms, he had not yet personally reached out to their governors.

Owner of app that hijacked millions of devices with one update exposes buy-to-infect scam
The owners of the once-legitimate Android app insist that a buyer was responsible for a malicious update with far-reaching consequences.
The owners of a popular barcode scanner application that became a malicious nuisance on millions of devices with one update insist that a third-party buyer was to blame.
Earlier this month, cybersecurity firm Malwarebytes explored how a trusted, useful barcode and QR code scanner app on Google Play that accounted for over 10 million installs became malware overnight.
Having gained a following and acting as innocent software for years, in recent months, users began to complain that their mobile devices were suddenly full of unwanted adverts.
Barcode Scanner was fingered as the culprit and the source of the nuisanceware, tracked as Android/Trojan.HiddenAds.AdQR. The researchers tracked malicious updates as the reason – with aggressive advert pushing implemented in the app's code.
The app's analytics code was also modified and updates were heavily obfuscated.
Malwarebytes said the owner, Lavabird Ltd., was likely to blame, due to the ownership registration at the time of the update. Once reported, the software was pulled from Google Play.
At the time, Lavabird did not respond to requests for comment. However, the vendor has now reached out to Malwarebytes with an explanation for the situation.
On February 12, Malwarebytes said that Lavabird blamed an account named "the space team" for the changes following a purchase deal in which the app's ownership would change hands.
Lavabird purchased Barcode Scanner on November 23, and the subsequent space team deal was agreed on November 25.
While the research team has been unable to contact "the space team," Lavabird told Malwarebytes on February 10 that they were "outraged no less," and Lavabird only acted as an "intermediary" between "the seller and the buyer in this situation."
According to Lavabird, the firm develops, sells, and buys mobile applications. In this case, the company insists that the space team buyer of Barcode Scanner was allowed access to the Google Play console of the app to verify the software's key and password prior to purchase.
It was the buyer, Lavabird says, that pushed the malicious update to Barcode Scanner users.
"Transferring of the app's signing key when transferring ownership of the app is a legitimate part of [the] process," the researchers commented. "Therefore, the request by "the space team" to verify that the private key works by uploading an update to Google Play seems plausible."
After the update was performed, the app was transferred to the buyer's Google Play account on December 7. However, Malwarebytes says that at the time of the malware update, ownership still belonged to Lavabird.
The first malicious update took place on November 27 and subsequent updates obfuscated the malware's code, up until January 5, before the app was unpublished.
Lavabird did not verify the buyer, who was found through "word of mouth." However, the company did say that "this lesson will remain with us for life."

Department of Veterans Affairs Reports 73 Thousand U.S. Gulf War Deaths
More Gulf War Veterans have died than Vietnam Veterans. This probably is news to you. But the truth has been hidden by a technicality. So here is the truth.
The casualties in the Vietnam War were pretty simple to understand. If a soldier was dead from his combat tour, he was a war casualty. There are 58,195 names recorded on the Vietnam War Memorial in Washington, DC.
Some of these brave men died in the jungles of Vietnam while others died in Medivac units or hospitals in Japan and America. A dead soldier can surrender his life anywhere in service to his country. It really doesn't matter where this happens. The location of a soldier's death in no way colors his sacrifice.
But something odd has happened with the Iraq War. The government, under the Bush administration, did something dishonest that resulted in a lie that's persisted since the war began – and continues to this very day. They decided to report the war deaths in Iraq only if the soldier died with his boots on the ground in a combat situation.
What's the difference, you might ask?
The combat in Vietnam was in rural areas, far removed from medical treatment centers. Injured soldiers were treated by a Medic. Most died at the scene of the battle before they could be evacuated. Many died on route or were declared dead at the medical treatment facilities. The situation in Iraq is vastly different.
Fighting in Iraq is mainly in urban areas. Soldiers who are injured are quickly evacuated with armored personnel carriers or helicopters. It's a much more efficient system than what was possible in Vietnam, but for those that are seriously injured it means that death is more likely to happen while they are in transit or at the treatment facility.
Under the new reporting system, deaths that happen en route or post evacuation are not counted as combat deaths. This is why the number seems unusually low – a little over four thousand as of 2009.
