40 days and 40 nights it rained on Noah's Ark.

Then once it stopped raining, it took 100 days for the water to subside enough for the Ark to land on Mt. Ararat in what is now the country of Turkey. That mountain range is somewhat equivalent to the Rocky Mountains in the US.

Imagine if the heavens opened up and the underground spring all started spewing water for 40 days straight and there was enough water to cover the Rockies.

The flood in the days of Noah was not a regional flood as some people like to suggest.

People in the days of Noah were so wicked that God decided to start over with Noah and his family.

Now look where we are.

That's why they have those RhoGAM shots, if a mom has Rh- blood and the unborn baby has Rh+ blood.

So the moms antibodies don't kill the unborn baby.

Used to be if a mom's second baby had Rh+ blood and the mom was Rh-, the baby would probably die.

God gave Noah specific dimensions and instructions on how to build the ark. Strange details for a story to be an allegory.

Also, after the flood, we have specific genealogy for Noah and his sons.

Genealogy in the OT is important because it all points to the Promised Messiah, Jesus Christ.

But, hey, we found ice particles on Mars, so meh, life.

More life can be found under my fingernail than what could be found on any other planet in the universe. IMO
