People sit in the dark and are cold because they take no responsibility for their own needs. It is quite simple to have a pantry stocked and a generator, no excuses for thinking anyone or gov't entity is going to provide a thing for you, that is your responsibility.
I think you missed the point, if one was prepared for their own existence, they would not rely on the means of others and currently be paralyzed without the others positive flow of electrons. They would have been prepared for whatever life throws at them through redundancy of their own creation and planning. There is a point you failed to own.Who cares what gov't and environmentalists did or did not, your responsibility is to your own well being and so is provision for the fam, no excuse.
