i get it's been busy but it doesn't take long to post an update on the board every now and then. if you don't have time for that then you shouldn't be BO.
it's extremely enforceable. have a list of existing baker hashes. if new baker wants to bake, watch them and take down their hash - add to the list of bakers. if baker needs to bake on another machine they can give a headsup and verify themselves with a quick pastebin post.
if fuckery starts happening with any of the bakers, take note and WATCH who is doing what. who is leaving out notables. who is constantly making "mistakes". who is hijacking bakes or splitting the bread.. when fuckery reaches a certain level, that baker is banned from baking again. BV's should be around to watch at least the beginning of every bread. checking in once an hour is not an overly burdensome task. make sure the handoff goes smoothly. don't famefag namefag or tripfag unless you need to but just watch. if a banned baker tries baking, temporarily ban them, lock their threads, direct anons to the correct thread or ebake yourself. if you do it often enough, it'll stop happening bc they know they can't get away with it. you're not prohibiting any real anons from starting to bake - anyone can still bake. no gatekeeping, just punishing bad behavior.
