I wonder how many anons here have decided to not use corporate cloud services for their personal data?

I wonder how many have thought of doing so?

I wonder if that's why the corp cloud co's are pushing FUD about running your own shit now?

(Hint: It's easy af to set up and run)

>you greatly misunderestimate anons

I try not to :) I was just thinking that I can't have been the only one to have just completely ditched google back when they ditched the "Don't be evil" motto in 2015..

I read that in a similar fashion as one would look at a warrant canary, frankly.

> is just so foreign to anons/autists

Word.. The things I used google for were the mail/contacts/calendar.. Grudgingly. I've always kept my own file server though… I don't like the idea of putting any files on someone else's servers..

…Or of them attaining the legal right to use whatever they contain (I think more people should actually READ the EULA's); Use of google services causes all of your data to become their data, legally.

To be fair, If it was as easy to set up a mail server 10 years ago as is is now, I would have moved away from Google back then :)

Word.. I wish it was easy like it is now, 10 or more years ago.. Some of the distros are literally turnkey "Have a full network server" these days :)
