Satan has to have a proxy ready to go at any time. He knows his time will be short once God starts the show. Imagine just how many wanna be Satanic wannabes have been waiting in the wings for centuries awaiting a particular time that Satan has no clue of when it will be. He just knows he has to be ready when the time is at hand.
