So in 2021 we might be dealing with a particular psychopath, and it's exciting to say, "Woo, he's descended from a bloodline we traced back to 1221 AD," and then some other storyteller chimes in with "No, he's descended from a bloodline that goes back to 700 CE." And then Dan Brown walks in and says, "No, no, guys, this is a lineal descendant of Jesus Christ!"
None of these stories have good evidence.

You're welcome. I am glad you are using your brain for research. And who knows - maybe in the future we will get better at extracting DNA from corpses and we will have better knowledge of ancient societies. It's worth researching these topics and many others.
