I think it was in 1906 or 1908 (can't remember) that the Congressional record shows that creation of the FBI was denied due to the corruption that would result. It was probably built on corruption from the first day, whenever it was that they finally got it through. The bigger the govt, the more corrupt. Look at the monstrosity of our current fed govt. It's impossible to have oversight due to its size and all the backroom committees and the 10k other ways they have to subvert our Constitution.
