Was she a US Citizen? This screams of VAWA and sounds like she was screeching loudly in an attempt to fast-track her Citizenship through some serious accusations. Not that I'm protecting the asshat AG, but this pattern of behavior is VERY popular in the Southwest, especially in Border States, and her claims sound like the canned claims they make down here. Fortunately, LE and the Judges in Conservative areas are hip to this, and will press for evidence. If the victim (male) is in a liberal area, with liberal Courts and LE, he's screwed. She gets Citizenship almost immediately, and he's liable to go to jail, and lose Weapons Rights (due to the lies about threats) being upheld by an immigration friendly Judge. USCIS doesn't allow, and will refuse to hear the Males side of anything, and actually makes it a crime to attempt to file a Report on the Fraud. This was starting to get shut down after Trumps Admin began cracking down on those Laws, but now it will be a free-for-all again, just like everything else was under husseins admin.
