READ: Dominion Sues Mike Lindell for $1.4BN, Uses Nazi ā€œBig Lieā€ Phrase 31 Times in Court Filing.

The text of Dominion Voting Systemsā€™ $1,400,000,000 lawsuit against My Pillow CEO Mike Lindell has been released.

The suit, which alleges Lindell ā€œexploitedā€ the 2020 election to sell pillows, relies on the Democratsā€™ ā€œBig Lieā€ talking point, a term coined by Adolf Hitler ahead of the Holocaust.

The 115-page document uses the term roughly 30 times and insists Lindell ā€œsells the lie to this day because the lie sells pillows.ā€

U.N. Chief Guterres Warns ā€˜White Supremacyā€™ Is a ā€˜Transnational Threat,ā€™

United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres warned Monday the combination of ā€œwhite supremacyā€ and neo-Nazi movements makes for a ā€œtransnational threatā€ through their manipulation of the responses to the global coronavirus pandemic.

Reuters reports Guterres, a former Socialist Party prime minister in his native Portugal, used an address to the U.N. Human Rights Council to call for a global coordinated crackdown:

ā€œWhite supremacy and neo-Nazi movements are more than domestic terror threats,ā€ the veteran left-wing diplomat said. ā€œThey are becoming a transnational threat. Today, these extremist movements represent the number one internal security threat in several countries.ā€

Without offering any examples of countries he believes are facing this exisential threat, Guterres called for international action to defeat the dangers as part of his long-standing commitment to ā€œmore robust global governance.ā€

ā€œFar too often, these hate groups are cheered on by people in positions of responsibility in ways that were considered unimaginable not long ago,ā€ Guterres said. ā€œWe need global coordinated action to defeat this grave and growing danger.ā€

Guterres pointed to governments and health authorities who used ā€œheavy-handed security responses and emergency measures to crush dissent.ā€

ā€œAt times, access to life-saving COVID-19 information has been concealed ā€“ while deadly misinformation has been amplified ā€“ including by those in power,ā€ he said.

Guterres warned about the power of digital platforms and the use and abuse of data.

ā€œI urge all Member States to place human rights at the centre of regulatory frameworks and legislation on the development and use of digital technologies,ā€ he said. ā€œWe need a safe, equitable and open digital future that does not infringe on privacy or dignity.ā€

This is not the first time Guterres has used the backdrop of international turmoil to offer commentary on world affairs.

As Breitbart News reported, last year he said the world needs an overarching level of multilateral governance that can sideline problematic ā€œnational interests.ā€

He claimed in the 21st century, governments are no longer the only political and power reality, adding ā€œwe need an effective multilateralism that can function as an instrument of global governance where it is needed.ā€

Guterres was prime minister of Portugal from 1995 to 2002 and secretary-general of the Portuguese Socialist Party from 1992 to 2002.

The 72-year-old career politician served as president of the Socialist International from 1999 to 2005 before moving on to the United Nations.

Mexican Authorities Arrest 135 Migrants in Border State Hotel

Mexican authorities detained 135 Central American migrants headed for Texas who were weathering the recent winter storm in a Nuevo Leon hotel. The arrests come as authorities note a spike in human smuggling activities.

Late last week, Mexicoā€™s National Immigration Institute carried out the operation at the Palacio Hotel in downtown Monterrey where they found 135 migrants, including 49 minors, and some as young as 2-years-old. The group also included 43 women and 43 men, all from Honduras, El Salvador, and Guatemala.

Facebook tried to restart negotiations with major Australian news outlets just a day after declaring war on the country by shutting down pages

Facebook tried to restart negotiations with Nine and News Corp just a day after banning news on its Australian site.

The US social media giant blocked Australian users from seeing and sharing local news last Thursday, in response to a new law to make tech giants pay media companies for news content on their sites.

Facebook, helmed by founder Mark Zuckerberg, also accidentally blocked the pages of domestic violence helplines, charities, government pages, and Covid information.

But just a day after the online blackout, Facebook contacted Nine and Rupert Murdoch's News Corp to discuss commercial deals, an inside source told the Sydney Morning Herald.

Two weeks before Australian news content was pulled off Facebook, the two media outlets were in talks with the tech behemoth.

But it's unlikely News Corp or Nine will be able to reach an agreement with Facebook this week because no significant changes were discussed during the second negotiation phase.

As Facebook restricts the sharing of news in Australia, Google is striking a series of deals to pay for local journalism.

The Guardian was the latest publisher to sign an agreement with Google.

The internet giant has already struck multi-million dollar deals with Seven West Media, Nine, News Corp, and Australian Community Media.

Finance Minister Simon Birmingham is confident media bargaining legislation will sail through parliament without any more amendments to appease Facebook.

The proposed bargaining code is bound for the Senate after the government spent the weekend trying to negotiate a resolution with Mr Zuckerberg.

Senator Birmingham said there were some promising signs following the fresh round of talks.

'We would urge Facebook to acknowledge that it should behave as we would expect any other re-publisher of content to behave,' he told ABC radio on Monday.

The minister made it clear there would be no further changes to satisfy the social media giant.

China Boasts of Military Buildup While Pushing ā€˜Dialogueā€™ with U.S.

Chinese state media boasted of Chinaā€™s massive military buildup over the weekend while simultaneously claiming Beijing wants nothing more than to renew friendly dialogue with the United States under the Biden administration.

Chinaā€™s state-run Global Times reported Sunday that the Peopleā€™s Liberation Army (PLA) has developed ā€œa new type of training system that would improve military training in all respects, strengthen the capability to win wars and build the Chinese military into a world-class one.ā€

The Global Times did not discuss the system, approved by dictator Xi Jinping ā€” whose many titles also include Chairman of the Central Military Commission ā€” in detail, but the article hinted it would include some combination of real-world combat drills and high-tech simulations. The goal is to ā€œtrain as if exercises are real wars, boost joint exercises, enhance training with technology, strengthen talent support and follow patterns and laws of training and winning wars.ā€

A Chinese military expert whom the Global Times quoted said the new training regimen will combine ā€œtraining with real combat, to the extent that the two need to be highly identical.ā€ This has been the fundamental goal of all serious military training throughout human history, so it is interesting that Chinese state media felt the need to brag that its soldiers are really digging in and learning how to be killers now.

The article included a sideswipe at the supposedly more warlike United States, combined with extensive self-flattery of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) as a peace-loving organization:

Unlike the US military, which has operated around the globe and has been constantly in battles, which means it retains its sharpness, China has not fought a real war for decades, so training is one of only a few ways to hone combat capabilities, and that is why high-quality training is very important to the Chinese military, another Chinese military expert told the Global Times on Sunday on condition of anonymity.

The new military training system aims to eliminate malpractices that have accumulated through prolonged peace to make the military more ready for engaging in wars, even if China never wants any, the anonymous expert said.

The day after the Global Times touted this new super-warrior program for the PLA, it quoted Foreign Minister Wang Yi claiming China wants nothing but peaceful dialogue with the new American administration:

ā€œOver the past few years, the US basically cut off bilateral dialogue at all levels. And this was one of the main reasons for the deterioration in China-US relations,ā€ Wang Yi said in his address to the Opening of the Lanting Forum on Promoting Dialogue and Cooperation and Managing Differences: Bringing China-US Relations Back to the Right Track.

ā€œWe urge the US to stop smearing the Communist Party of China and Chinaā€™s political system, stop conniving with or even supporting the erroneous words and actions of ā€˜Taiwan independenceā€™ forces, and stop undermining Chinaā€™s sovereignty and security on internal affairs concerning Hong Kong, Xinjiang and Tibet,ā€ Wang added, listing four places whose residents would strongly dispute the idea that the gentle and peaceful CCP is only just beginning to learn how to fight wars effectively because it loathes violence.

Wang laid out the price the Biden administration must pay to restore friendly dialogue with the CCP, including the end of ā€œrestrictions on Chinese educational and cultural groups, media outlets and institutionsā€ and ā€œobstructions for the USā€™ local governments and social sectors to engage with China.ā€

Merrick Garland Declines to Say He Will Keep Special Counsel John Durham

udge Merrick Garland, President Joe Bidenā€™s nominee for U.S. Attorney General, declined to say on Monday whether he would retain Special Counsel John Durham in his role investigating the origins of the ā€œRussia collusionā€ investigation.

Former Attorney General William Barr quietly elevated Durham to Special Counsel last fall, before the presidential election, to preserve his work in a potential new administration. Barr had previously said that he believed there may have been improper political motivations behind the FBIā€™s launch of Operation Hurricane Crossfire into Donald Trumpā€™s campaign in 2016. One FBI lawyer, Kevin Clinesmith, pleaded guilty to misleading the FISA court to obtain a warrant.

Ranking Member Chuck Grassley (R-IA) asked Garland whether he would retain Durham, noting that Barr, in his own confirmation, committed explicitly to allowing Special Counsel Robert Mueller to continue the ā€œRussia collusionā€ inquiry.

Garland would not commit. The following exchange took place:

Sen. Grassley: I will go to the Durham investigation. At Barrā€™s hearing, he stated the following [with] regard to the Mueller investigation. ā€œIt is virtually [sic[ important the special counsel be allowed to complete his investigation.ā€ Also at that same hearing, Senator [Dianne] Feinstein asked, ā€œWill you commit to providing Mr. Mueller with the resources, funds, and time needed to complete his investigation?ā€ Attorney General Barr answered Senator Feinstein with a one-word, ā€œYes.ā€ With respect to Special Counsel [John] Durhamā€™s investigation, I expect that he will be allowed to complete his investigation. If confirmed, will you commit to providing Special Counsel Durham with the staff, resources, funds, and time needed to thoroughly complete the investigation?

Judge Garland: Senator, I donā€™t have any information about the investigation as I sit here today. And another one of the very first things Iā€™m going to have to do is speak with Mr. Durham to figure out how his investigation is going. I understand he has been permitted to remain in his position. And sitting here today, I have no reason to think that that was not the correct decision.

Sen. Grassley: And I suppose that would be an answer that he would only be removed for cause, then? Would that be your position?

Judge Garland: Senator, I really do have to have an opportunity to talk with him. I have not had that opportunity. As I said, I donā€™t have any reason, from what I know now, which is really very little, to make any determination on that ground. But I donā€™t have any reason to think that he should not remain in place.

Sen. Grassley: If confirmed, would you commit to publicly releasing Special Counsel Durhamā€™s report just like the Mueller report was made public?

Judge Garland: So Senator, I am a great believer in transparency. I would, though, have to talk with Mr. Durham and understand the nature of what he has been doing and the nature of the report. But I am very much committed to transparency and to explaining Justice Department decision-making.

Sen. Grassley: At this point, Iā€™m not going to take exception to the answers you have gave me about Durham, because I think you are an honorable person. They are not quite as explicit as I hoped they would be, like we got from Barr for the Mueller Investigation. But I think you have come close to satisfying me. But maybe not entirely.

Durham was one of two major federal prosecutors retained in their positions when President Biden dismissed the rest; the other, Delaware U.S. Attorney David Weiss, is investigating the Hunter Biden affair.

'Cancun Cruz must resign': Protesters gather outside Texas senator's $2million Houston home following his trip to Mexico as millions in the storm-ravaged state remain without safe water

Angry protesters holding signs reading 'Cancun Cruz must resign' and 'Cruz's lies cost lives' descended on the senator's $2million Houston home on Sunday following his Mexican jaunt.

About 30 protesters from the group Houston United Front Against Fascism showed up outside his family home where he lives with his wife Heidi, daughters Caroline, 12 and Catherine 10, and dog Snowflake in the River Oaks neighborhood at around 1pm.

They chanted 'He he, ho ho, Ted Cruz needs to go' and held banners decrying his actions after he jetted off to Cancun on Wednesday as Texans froze to death in their homes.

In a reference to the family's pet dog, Snowflake, who was left behind when they flew to Mexico, one person held a sign reading: 'Hey, Snowflakeā€¦ We hate him too!'

The senator returned to the storm-ravaged state less than 24 hours later and his wife flew back with his daughters Catherine, 12, and Caroline, 10, on Saturday evening.

WE HAVE EVIDENCE! MI Radical Sec of State Sent Absentee Ballot Application To Foreign Student Who Attended College In MI For 3 Yearsā€¦Returned To Taiwan in 2004ā€¦Her Name STILL Remains On ā€œQualified Voterā€ List

The state of Michigan has suffered a huge black eye following the incompetent handling of the 2020 elections by Michiganā€™s radical Democrat Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson.

100 Percent Fed Up reports ā€“ Last year, with no congressional approval, Michiganā€™s Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson made the unilateral decision to mail absentee ballot applications to 7.7 million addresses in Michigan, hiding behind the COVID pandemic as an excuse to do what Democrats have been trying to do for decadesā€”normalize no ID mail-in voting.

In 2010, even the far-left New York Times warned of the dangers of mail-in-voting, ā€œvotes cast by mail are less likely to be counted, more likely to be compromised and more likely to be contested than those cast in a voting booth, statistics show,ā€ they wrote, adding, ā€œfraud is easier by mail.ā€

Benson, like Michiganā€™s radical Governor Gretchen Whitmer, used the Chinese virus pandemic as a tool to strip Michigan citizens of their freedoms, including free and fair elections, by mailing absentee voter applications to 7.7 million addresses in Michigan, many of whom illegitimate voters, including dead people and people who were no longer living in the state. SOS Benson claimed that her office mailed the ballots to qualified voters, but that claim is not accurate, as dead people, international students who no longer live in the United States, and people who have moved from Michigan to another state, also received absentee ballot applications, and we now have proof.

Today, we received exclusive photos of an absentee ballot application from Bensonā€™s Secretary of State office that was mailed to Ms. Lee, a female Taiwanese citizen who attended college at Oakland University in Michigan from approximately 2000-2003.

Whatā€™s even more curious than an international student who only lived in Michigan for the four years she attended college, receiving an application to vote in Michigan, Ms. Lee never even lived at the address where the application was mailed. The person who received Leeā€™s application at his home said that he knew Lee while she attended school at Oakland University, but has confirmed that she never lived there. When she moved back to Taiwan, she was told by her friends that she could use their address to forward any mail she may receive after moving back to Taiwan. The homeowner explained to us that the 2020 absentee ballot application was the first time they received mail from the MI Secretary of Stateā€™s office related to voting since Ms. Lee moved back to Taiwan between 15-16 years ago. According to Leeā€™s friend who lives at the address where the application was mailed, the international student moved back to Taiwan in late 2004-early 2005, and to the best of his knowledge has not returned to the United States since.

Hereā€™s a photo of the application that was sent to Ms. Lee, who incredibly, hasnā€™t lived in Michigan for 16-17 years:

ā€˜Fervent Sinophileā€™ Boris Johnson Pushes for China Trade Deal, Despite Genocide Objections

Prime Minister Boris Johnson is reportedly leading a push to begin trade talks with the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) despite objections from backbench Tory MPs that Britain should not have closer economic ties with the allegedly genocidal regime in Beijing.

It has been revealed that during a meeting in Downing Street with Chinese business leaders, Mr Johnson expressed his desire to deepen economic ties with China despite ā€œwhatever the political difficultiesā€ there may be.

The Prime Minister proudly told the Chinese businessmen that he is ā€œfervently Sinophileā€, at the February 12th meeting, The Guardian reported on Sunday.

A bipartisan group of campaigners, including Tory backbenchers, have been seeking to add a genocide amendment to the UKā€™s Trade Bill that would require a High Court review of trade deals with countries, like China, which have been accused of committing genocide.

However, Boris Johnsonā€™s government has successfully blocked the introduction of the amendment on two separate occasions, using what former Conservative Party leader Sir Iain Duncan Smith dubbed as ā€œarcane procedural gamesā€œ. The House of Lords will decide on Tuesday if they will attempt to pass the amendment for a third, and final, time.

One of the main organisers of the genocide amendment and Hong Kong Watch fellow, Luke de Pulford said: ā€œWhile the Uighurs are forcibly sterilised, their children brainwashed and tens of thousands enslaved, the UK is bending over backwards to secure more Chinese trade. How bad do things have to get before Boris Johnson realises that this kind of thing enables Xi Jinpingā€™s brutal regime?ā€

The British government suspended trade talks with China last year in response to the introduction of the draconian national security law in Hong Kong, which stripped the former UK colony of the freedoms promised under the Sino-British Joint Declaration.

Yet, Mr Johnson has reportedly expressed his intention to restart talks with China through the China-UK Joint Trade and Economic Commission (Jetco) and the Economic and Financial Dialogue annual meeting between the UK and China, though no firm date has been set for either to resume.

While the British leader has recently become embroiled in diplomatic spats with the CCP, including his decision to bar Chinese tech giant Huawei from the UKā€™s 5G networks over security concerns and Britainā€™s offer to open citizenship paths to millions of Hong Kongers, Johnson has long expressed his admiration for China.

As Mayor of London, Mr Johnson backed then-Prime Minister David Cameraā€™s push for a ā€œgolden eraā€ of UK-Chinese relations to increase economic ties.

In June of last year, Johnson said: ā€œIā€™m a Sinophile and believe we should continue to work with this great and rising power.ā€

Crowdstrike, the Firm at the Center of the Russia Collusion Scam, Was Next Involved in a China Linked ā€œElectric Pandaā€ Hacker Tale ā€“ Is This Now Relevant Today?

For years the Democrats and their Big Media and the Deep State claimed that Russia had hacked the DNC and obtained the emails later released by Wikileaks. The story started with a crafty Washington Post reporter, Ellen Nakashima, who claimed in June 2016 that the Russians hacked the DNC database and stole Trump opposition research:

Nakashima was one of the first, if not the first, to claim in writing Russian hacking of the DNC. The Deep State pundit reported that the firm Crowdstrike had uncovered this information.

Nakashima reported:

Russian government hackers penetrated the computer network of the Democratic National Committee and gained access to the entire database of opposition research on GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump, according to committee officials and security experts who responded to the breach.

Nakashima broadcast the Crowdstrike name in her post as the firm which uncovered the Russian hacking:

ā€œItā€™s the job of every foreign intelligence service to collect intelligence against their adversaries,ā€ said Shawn Henry, president of CrowdStrike, the cyber firm called in to handle the DNC breach and a former head of the FBIā€™s cyber division. He noted that it is extremely difficult for a civilian organization to protect itself from a skilled and determined state such as Russia.

Unfortunately for Nakashima, the Crowdstrike claim in her June 2016 reporting has been all but debunked. Yaacov Apelbaum dissected the Crowdstrike claim and offered ample evidence of its bogus nature (See Who Done It?)

Here was our post on Nakashima:

INSANE: Louisiana Secretary of State About to Hand Over $100 Million in Voting Machine Purchase ā€“ Dominion Is Reportedly In the Running

Insanity ā€“ Doing the Same Thing Over and Over and Expecting Different Results.

The AP reported in a biased and one-sided article that Louisiana is looking at buying voting machines for the state. We used to have less corrupt media, but today the media is full far-left and very dishonest. This article proves it (see bolded text):

Dominion Voting Systems, the target of unfounded voter fraud claims by supporters of former President Donald Trump, intends to bid for Louisianaā€™s new voting machine contract as it continues to combat the conspiracy theories surrounding its equipment, the companyā€™s leader said Friday.

ā€œItā€™s our expectation and hope that it will be a free and fair process that will not be judged or weighed on misinformation,ā€ Dominion CEO John Poulos said in an interview.

Republican Secretary of State Kyle Ardoinā€™s solicitation went out Jan. 27 for contractors seeking to replace 10,000 voting machines that are decades old. Bids from companies interested in the contract are due at the end of March. Louisianaā€™s contract is estimated to be worth up to $100 million.

Itā€™s really outrageous that the AP would state that the claims against Dominion are conspiracy theories and unfounded. And whatā€™s even more outrageous is that the Republican Secretary of State in Louisiana would entertain a bid from this company.

Berlin Police Called Out to Antifa Stronghold over 700 Times in 2020

Police in the German capital of Berlin were called out to the area around the Antifa stronghold of Rigaer 94 a total of 717 times in 2020 to deal with incidents ranging from violence to threats and property damage.

Police were called out to the building, which has been partially illegally occupied for years by far-left Antifa militants, to deal with hundreds of different offences, according to a Berlin senate response to a question posed by libertarian Free Democrat MP Paul Fresdforf.

A total of 157 investigations by police revolved around reports of assaults, threats and insults against police officers, while another 90 investigations involved assaults on other people, German newspaper Die Welt reports.

Social Democrat politician Torsten Akmann, whos serves as Berlin Interior Secretary, noted that the area around the squat on Rigastrasse, located in Berlinā€™s Friedrichshain district, had become ā€œcharacterized by crimes and administrative offences of the left-extremist scene.ā€

Die Welt also stated that many local residents were affected by the criminal behaviour and noted attacks on locals and property damage by far-left militants in the area.

There have been many attempts to evict the Antifa squatters from the building, including an illegal pub named ā€œKadterschmiedeā€ which had an eviction order dismissed previously by a German court in 2019.

A recent court ruling granted police protection to a fire safety expert and a representative of the owner of the Rigaer 94 building in order to enter the building and examine it, but Antifa militants have vowed to fight any attempts at eviction.

ā€œAny advance in Rigaer 94 must be a risk; our announcement that there may not be any winners means nothing more than that we want to throw Berlin into chaos if the aggression is not stopped immediately,ā€ far leftists wrote on the noted extremist web platform Indymedia earlier this week.

Last year in July, one incident of far-left violence saw militants in the Rigaer Strasse area tear out the cables to street lights in the area before setting fires and vandalising local property.

Weapons Biz Bankrolls Experts Pushing to Extend Afghan War

Couldn't make it up: Imperial Congress creates a "study group" composed of weapons merchants to ask it if it should continue the war

Earlier this month, a study group established by Congress recommended that President Joe Biden extend the May 1 deadline for withdrawing troops from Americaā€™s longest war. Itā€™s a strategy that many experts say runs the risk of abrogating the U.S.-Taliban agreement and potentially setting back the potential peace process in Afghanistan ā€” or even dooming it to failure.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, there is a striking similarity in the backgrounds of the individuals involved in these critical recommendations, which are likely to influence whether Biden maintains a ā€œconditions basedā€ U.S. military footprint in Afghanistan. Two of the groupā€™s three co-chairs and nine of the groupā€™s 12 plenary members, comprised of what the group refers to as ā€œmembers,ā€ have current or recent financial ties to major defense contractors, an industry that soaks up more than half of the $740 billion defense budget, and stands to gain from protracted U.S. military involvement overseas.

There was more diversity in views and financial interests among the 26 ā€œsenior advisersā€ that the group consulted. At least three of these advisers have warned publicly that the suggested troop withdrawal extension may pose significant risks. But the study groupā€™s plenary is deeply intertwined with the military industrial base, with nearly $4 million the groupā€™s co-chairs and plenary have received in compensation for their work on the boards of defense contractors.

Of course, the recent Taliban offensive on key cities in Afghanistan have created a greater incentive for U.S. policymakers to keep troops in Afghanistan, even at the expense of prolonging a two-decades long conflict with no clear end in sight.

ā€œThis is a good example of the fox guarding the henhouse,ā€ said Mandy Smithberger, director of the Center for Defense Information at the Project on Government Oversight. ā€œOne of the problems in our foreign policy making is that all of the advice is heavily dominated by people with financial stakes in continuing war.ā€

For example, Ret. Gen. Joseph F. Dunford was a co-chair of the Afghanistan Study Group. Dunford served as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff from 2015 to 2019, commandant of the Marine Corps, and Commander of all United States and NATO forces in Afghanistan in 2013.

He led the group alongside Kelly Ayotte, who represented New Hampshire in the Senate from 2011 to 2016, and Nancy Lindborg, the President and CEO of the David and Lucile Packard Foundation.

Policing Portlandā€™s protests: 1,000 arrests, handful of prosecutions

Demonstrations have raged in Portland for five months, with no definitive ending in sight

CLACKAMAS COUNTY, Ore. (KOIN) ā€” Since late May, nearly 1,000 people have been arrested in connection with the protests in Portland; however, the overwhelming majority will likely never be prosecuted by the Multnomah County District Attorneyā€™s Office. There are reasons for that decision, the district attorney explained, but others say it gives criminals a free pass.

District Attorney Mike Schmidt took over in August and promptly announced his office would presumptively decline to prosecute many protest-related charges. The decision has drawn harsh criticism, but Schmidt says it has been necessary to preserve resources for more serious crimes as well as protect speech rights.

ā€œI had to make a decision, based on resources in this office, where we were gonna prioritize,ā€ Schmidt told KOIN 6 News. ā€œBreaking windows of businesses, lighting things on fire, stealing from those stores in the protest environment so thatā€™s what weā€™re focusing on. Weā€™re not using our limited resources on people who arenā€™t doing those things.ā€

Portlandā€™s demonstrations raged for more than 100 consecutive nights before hazardous air quality conditions from the stateā€™s wildfires in September interrupted the streak. Windows have been smashed, stores looted and fires started. There have been assaults. One man was murdered. Police have subjected crowd members, as well as bystanders and residents, to copious clouds of tear gas and other crowd control munitions.

President Donald Trump has made Portlandā€™s violence a cornerstone of his campaign, catapulting the city into the national spotlight.

KOIN 6 News has tracked arrests and citations by local authorities since May 28. The numbers arenā€™t perfect ā€” not every arrest is reported, names are frequently misspelled, some suspects arenā€™t arrested or charged until later, and some cases simply donā€™t show up in online court records. Hereā€™s what we do know:

US has 'begun communications' with Iran over release of Americans held hostage after Secretary of State Anthony Blinken revealed he is open to returning to nuclear deal nixed by Trump

White House national security adviser Jake Sullivan has revealed the United States had begun to communicate with Iran over the country's detention of American citizens.

Sullivan made the announcement Sunday during an interview on CBS' Face The Nation, less than two weeks after Secretary of State Antony Blinken stated that the Biden Administration was committed to seeking 'the release of Americans held hostage or wrongfully detained abroad'.

There are currently at least five Americans being held in Iranian custody. Some of those US citizens have been detained in the Middle Eastern country since 2015.

Asked if the Biden administration had started hostage negotiations with Iran, Sullivan told CBS News' 'Face the Nation' that the issue was a 'complete and utter outrage'.

'We have begun to communicate with the Iranians on this issue,' Sullivan said.

'We will not accept a long term proposition where they continue to hold Americans in an unjust and unlawful manner,' he stated.

Ailing 85-year-old Baquer Namazi and his son, Siamak Namazi, are two of the US citizens currently being held in Iran.

In 2016, the pair were sentenced to ten years in prison for spying and cooperating with the United States.

Tensions between the United States and Iran have been escalating since 2018, when the Trump Administration pulled the US out of a 2015 nuclear deal that had been brokered with the Middle Eastern country by President Obama.

Trump has accused both Biden and Obama of being too soft on Iran, but Sullivan said Sunday that the new President believes diplomacy is the best way to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon.

The US is now willing to start talks on a return to the 2015 nuclear deal agreed between Tehran and several world powers.

The State Department, led by Secretary Anthony Blinkin, said Thursday that the US would accept an invitation from the European Union to attend a meeting of the participants in the 2015 original agreement.

Such an invitation has not yet been issued but one is expected shortly, following discussions between Blinken and his British, French and German counterparts.

'The United States would accept an invitation from the European Union High Representative to attend a meeting of the P5+1 and Iran to discuss a diplomatic way forward on IranĀ“s nuclear program,' State Department spokesman Ned Price said in a statement.

Earlier Thursday, Blinken and the foreign ministers of Britain, Germany and France urged Iran to allow continued United Nations nuclear inspections and stop nuclear activities that have no credible civilian use.

They warned that IranĀ“s actions could threaten delicate efforts to bring the U.S. back into the 2015 deal and end sanctions damaging Iran's economy.

Air Force Base Halts Flight Operations After 2 Killed in Alabama T-38 Jet Crash

The Air Force has identified one pilot involved in Friday's T-38 Talon crash in Montgomery, Alabama.

Killed in the crash was Scot Ames Jr., an instructor pilot with the 50th Flying Training Squadron at Columbus Air Force Base, Mississippi, the base said in a release Sunday. Ames, a Pekin, Indiana native, was 24, officials from the 14th Flying Training Wing said in the release.

The student pilot, also killed in the crash, was a member of the Japanese Air Self Defense Force training in the U.S. The pilot's name was withheld pending Japanese government approval, the release said.

The aircraft, belonging to the14th Flying Training Wing at Columbus, went down around 5:30 p.m. near Alabama's Dannelly Field.

The pilots were on a routine, "cross country" training mission, which involves pilots flying to another airport or airfield from the base, Col. Seth Graham, commander of the 14th, said during a news conference Saturday. Graham said flight operations have been temporarily suspended, and officials are evaluating when they can resume.

Graham did not provide further details into the cause of the crash, citing an ongoing investigation.

"Our Air Force investigators are performing their time-tested process used to investigate mishaps like this, and they will ensure the integrity of the investigation," Graham said in Sunday's release. "The Air Force is committed to providing the safest working environment for its people; the safety of our people and the surrounding communities is our foremost concern."

The crash comes a day after another incident involving the T-38.

On Thursday, a trainer jet assigned to the 9th Reconnaissance Wing at Beale Air Force Base, California, was forced to execute a "gear-up landing" at Mather Airport, California. The two pilots aboard sustained no injuries during the accident, according to a Beale spokesperson.

There have been previous incidents involving T-38s from the Mississippi base.

In May 2018, two pilots ejected from their T-38 near Columbus; the plane crashed in a remote part of northeast Mississippi, officials said at the time. In August the same year, the base halted flight operations for 24 hours after a T-38 ejection seat inadvertently fired while the plane was undergoing inspection. Three maintainers were injured in the incident, according to Air Force Times.

The twin-engine, high-altitude T-38 is used to train pilots to fly in fighter and attack aircraft such as the F-15 Eagle, F-16 Fighting Falcon, A-10 Thunderbolt and F-22 Raptor, as well as the B-1B Lancer.

How the Gates Foundation Seeded Americaā€™s COVID-19 Policy Catastrophes

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo is finally facing the heat for his botched and negligent coronavirus response policies, yet no one seems to be asking why Cuomo and select governors made the fateful decisions that led to the excess deaths ā€” and the coverup campaigns ā€” of tens of thousands of senior citizens in New York and elsewhere across the United States.

After being awarded an Emmy and writing a book on his supposedly heroic response to the pandemic, Cuomo is finally receiving the very necessary inquiries into his handling of the crisis. Cuomo is perhaps the most egregious example of abuse and neglect (given his refusal to use the Javits Center or a Navy hospital ship), he is far from the only governor who executed the ā€œnursing home death warrants.ā€ Governor Cuomo was accompanied by the governors of California, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and elsewhere.

The common thread seen in the United States is the delegation of state policy to prediction modeling forecasts from the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME), a Washington State-based institution that is wholly controlled and funded (to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars) by The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

In March and early April, politicians were informed by the modeling ā€œexpertsā€ at Gates-funded IHME that their hospitals were about to be completely overrun by coronavirus patients. Modelers from IHME claimed this massive surge would cause hospitals to run out of lifesaving equipment in a matter of days, not weeks or months. Time was of the essence, and now was the time for rapid decision making, the modelers claimed.

ā€” Janice Dean (@JaniceDean) July 20, 2020

On two separate April 1 and April 2 press conferences, Cuomo made clear that his policy decisions were based off of the IHME model.

ā€œThere is a group that is funded by the Gates Foundation. Thank you very much Bill Gates,ā€ Cuomo said on April 1 in discussing ICU needs and how he was using Gates models to make other healthcare policy decisions.

ā€” MSNBC (@MSNBC) April 1, 2020

ā€œThereā€™s only one model that we look at that has the number of projected deaths which is the IHME model which is funded by the Gates Foundation,ā€ Cuomo said on April 2, adding, ā€œand we thank the Gates Foundation for the national service that theyā€™ve done.ā€

In an April 9 briefing, Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer referred to the IHME model in order to project deaths and the PPE resources needed for the supposed surge.

It was the same story with the government of Pennsylvania. The PA Health Department exclusively uses IHME models to forecast coronavirus outcomes.

Governor Phil Murphy, another nursing home death warrant participant, used IHME models to navigate the stateā€™s policy response.

It wasnā€™t just state governors relying on this data, federal bureaucrats Dr. Anthony Fauci and Dr. Deborah Birx, both of whom have substantial ties to the Gates network, used the IHME COVID-19 forecasting models (which Birx endorsed specifically as the best prediction modeling outfit) to make policy recommendations to states. In her White House briefings, Birx, who simultaneously had a seat on the board of a Gates-funded institution, almost exclusively relied on IHME models to project outcomes.

Some people defending Dr. Birx havenā€™t followed this debacle from the beginning. Birx, tied to IHME propaganda operation, shouldā€™ve been fired after presenting Murray and Ferguson models to Trump in late March. She and Fauci told him to shut down economy: https://t.co/hwpBkIaHsr

Johns Hopkins: COVID Has Had No Effect On US Death Rate

ā€œTherefore, according to Briand, not only has COVID-19 had no effect on the percentage of deaths of older people, but it has also not increased the total number of deaths.ā€

ā€œAll of this points to no evidence that COVID-19 created any excess deaths. Total death numbers are not above normal death numbers. We found no evidence to the contrary,ā€ Briand concluded.

Former defense officials back US return to Iran deal, urge new long-term pact

In letter to Netanyahu and Gantz, ex-senior military and intelligence figures call for fresh international agreement to curtail Tehranā€™s military activities in the region

Over 20 former senior military and intelligence officials in Israel sent a letter Monday to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Benny Gantz backing a US return to the Iran nuclear deal, while calling for a new international agreement that will curtail Tehranā€™s military activities in the region.

The letter, dispatched by former IDF deputy chief of staff Matan Vilnai ā€” also a former Labor minister ā€” welcomed the Biden administrationā€™s efforts to reengage with Iran.

ā€œWe welcome the American initiative to bring Iran into complianceā€¦ with the nuclear deal, provided that it also requires Iran to fully comply with its obligations under UN Security Council resolution 2231 on the development of missiles and the IAEA inspections agreements,ā€ the letter said.

The United States is prepared to return to the Iran nuclear deal if Tehran shows ā€œstrict complianceā€ with it, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said Monday.

The Biden administration has also reversed the Trump administrationā€™s assertion that all UN sanctions against Iran had been restored. Trumpā€™s move had been ignored by the rest of the Security Council and the world, and the overwhelming majority of members in the 15-nation council had called the action illegal because the US was no longer a member of the nuclear deal.

Justice Clarence Thomasā€™s BLISTERING Dissent of SCOTUS Denial of Pennsylvania Election Lawsuit

Justice Clarence Thomas is a national treasure and should be treated as such. On Monday morning, the Supreme Court denied a lawsuit about election integrity and fraud from the state of Pennsylvania. Three Justices dissented. Justices Alito, Gorsuch, and Thomas all disagreed with the denial to hear the case which had implications for the 2020 presidential elections.

Clarence Thomas doesnā€™t speak often, but when he does he carries a very big stick. On Monday morning, he broke out that stick and obliterated the attorney general from the State of Pennsylvania among others.

Pelosi, Who Claims to Oppose Gerrymandering, Funnels $300,000 to Democratic Gerrymandering Group

After calling for an end to partisan gerrymandering, House speaker Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.) quietly funneled hundreds of thousands of dollars to former attorney general Eric Holder's effort to redraw electoral maps in favor of Democrats, filings show.

Pelosi's leadership PAC, PAC to the Future, pushed $300,000 to Holder's National Democratic Redistricting Committee late last year. In 2019, Pelosi said partisan gerrymandering efforts "compromise the integrity of our democracy."

Holderā€™s group is gearing up for a once-a-decade redistricting process that significantly influences which party controls Congress. It will serve as a data and legal hub and as a go-between for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and state legislatures, according to Politico.

Paul Pelosi, the speaker's husband, oversees the finances for her PAC, the only political committee linked to a politician that has donated to Holder's group in the past two years. The group is at the forefront of left-wing gerrymandering efforts, the likes of which Pelosi once opposed.

"This year, the Democratic Majority passed H.R. 1, the For The People Act, which works to end to partisan gerrymandering by requiring all states to establish independent, nonpartisan redistricting commissions to draw open and transparent statewide district maps after each Census," Pelosi said in 2019. "We will continue to fight partisan gerrymandering, ensure every citizen's vote counts and oppose any attempt to compromise the integrity of our democracy."

Holder's group has also received a six-figure contribution from George Soros's Democracy PAC, which is primarily funded by the billionaire's nonprofit network. A number of union PACs, including Service Employees International Union, Transport Workers Union, and the American Federation of Teachers, have also poured cash into Holder's group.

The group's board is composed of individuals from a host of left-wing groups, including Ali Lapp, executive director of the Pelosi-linked House Majority PAC, and Noam Lee, executive director of the Democratic Governors Association. It has also been aided by top Democratic lawyer Marc Elias, a partner out of the D.C. office of the Perkins Coie law firm who has led challenges against Republican-drawn electoral maps in recent years.

NY Dem says Cuomo nursing home scandal is impeachable offense, as governor blames Trump for vaccine woes

NYC mayor says 'I do not accept [Cuomo's] explanation' for nursing home scandal

New York State Assemblyman Ron Kim ā€“ who said Gov. Andrew Cuomo threatened to ruin his career for speaking out against his mishandling of the nursing home crisis during the coronavirus pandemic ā€“ is now calling for Cuomo to face impeachment.

"Cuomo abused his powers to hide life and death information from the Department of Justice that prevented lawmakers from legislating ā€“ like fully repealing corporate immunity for nursing homes. That is an impeachable offense," Kim wrote on Twitter on Monday.

"The only way to protect the integrity of the co-equal branch of the state government, AKA the 'People's House,' is to start impeachment," he wrote in another tweet.

The New York State Assembly can vote to impeach a governor by a simple majority, sending the case to the State Senate for trial. Unlike the U.S. Constitution, New York's state Constitution does not include specific guardrails to define impeachable conduct, according to PIX11.

Kim, a Democrat who is also the chair of the state's Standing Committee on Aging, previously accused Cuomo of "abusing his power" by trying to pressure lawmakers into backing admissions by his top aide that the administration purposely withheld data on nursing home deaths from Justice Department investigators.
